Rustic style 4-roomed apartment with great views.

Set in the beautiful hilly countryside of Central Portugal, Florença is a stylishly renovated farmhouse, which has been converted into 5 fully furnished & fully equipped apartments with landscaped gardens, shared swimming pool and stunning views. This traditional style 4 roomed apartment on the upper floor of the property, has a quaint, rustic charm with its stripped pine floors, original doors and moulded timber ceilings. Come and enjoy the peace and tranquility of this lovely rural location! In many ways the village of Cumieira represents a trip back in time to a place where life was much simpler and less pressurized and more peaceful. It's this ambience that we have tried to recreate at Apartamentos e Jardins de Florença. We want all of our guests to enjoy their stay with us to the full and form new friendships with fellow guests. So far we have had a lot of success in achieving this. Guests can use both the upper and lower gardens, the shared swimming pool, the communal barbecue and all common areas. Quests in this apartment may also use the sun terrace and gas barbecue outside apartment 3 when apartment 3 is unoccupied, if they wish. If you are unclear on anything please ask a member of the management team. The apartments are located in a rural setting typical of a working village in this part of Portugal.The village probably has a population of less than 500. It has a day centre for the elderly, a cemetery, an infants and a junior school, a community hall, a local government building (Junta de Freguesia da Cumeeira) a mother Church were it is claimed that part of it dates from the 16th century and a Central Café/ bar that does a roaring trade at lunch time with a fixed price 3 course menu for just €7. It is very common to see women herding their sheep and goats through the local streets as they are taken to and from their grazing fields. Like many Rural villages in Central Portugal public transport is at a premium. However, we are very close to many of the major road network systems such as the A1, IC2, A8, A13, IC8, IC3 and A13. There are also two mainline train stations within 30 minutes by car or taxi at Pombal and Coimbra, from here you can travel all over Portugal. Trains are clean, plentiful, relatively inexpensive and punctual. From Coimba you can be in Porto in an hour and from Pombal you can be in Lisbon in less than 90 minutes. Many of our guests take in an overnight stay in places like Lisbon and Porto. ADDITIONAL GUESTS. Although we have listed this apartment with a maximum occupancy of two, occasionally guests wish to add another friend or family member. We are able to accommodate one additional guest by using a high quality full size (90x200) foldaway bed which we had imported from Germany. The additional cost; including all of the usual bed linen, duvet, pillows and extra towels, is just €12 per night. If your party includes babies or young infants under 2 years old we are able to supply you with a good quality collapsible cot/playpen, without any charge and we'll supply you with a high chair should you wish.
