Surrounded on every side by organic (bio) vineyards of Cahors AOC, Vendanges is a spacious, independent gite that appears as you enter your private driveway. As a family of four, or two couples, enjoy the two bedrooms, each with bathroom & wc ensuite, large living/dining area, & a fully-equipped kitchen. Once a barn, the recent renovation is a tasteful mix of old (stone wall, antiques) and new with vineyard views. You have outdoor areas, private to you, & full pool access. Vendange is with walking/biking distance of the village of Puy-l'Eveque, about a forty minute drive across the Lot valley to Cahors. Saint-Cirq-Lapopie is just one of many villages of character in both the Lot and the Dordogne regions that make great day trips. You have full access to the gite, to the most of the property including a woods, restful, furnished areas to read, and a pool. There are great walks in the area, bikes are available for biking from vineyard to vineyard. The pool is 16 m long, just over 50 feet,and good for walking and jogging in addition to swimming and lazing about. The relationship between the gite and our home has been designed to provide the greatest privacy possible. Usually upon arrival and departure, we will meet with you, but we are also available for questions, suggestions, or concerns. Woods, hills, vineyards, fruit and nut trees, and the Lot river is a short walk away. Calm, beautiful, and genuine, this is a great area for relaxing. You will want a car to arrive here, for daytrips, shopping and discovery. A dog, perhaps two, will be accepted with an assurance of their good behavior, an extra security deposit, a modest cleaning supplement. Dogs are never to be left in the gite alone. Guests must pick up after their dogs even in our rural environment. Bags can be provided. Lara, a dog who is not cat friendly, lives here.
