Our house was built in 1860 and we refurbished it thoughtfully with lots of love for details. We live in one of the most beautiful villages in Switzerland. Vineyards and hiking trails start at our doorstep . Winterthur and Schaffhausen are within 20 minutes driving distance, Zurich within 35 minutes (optional by public transportation - bus stop 3 minutes, train station 10 minutes by foot) Or just enjoy the view from our terrace enjoy ... with a cup of coffee/tea and a good book Baker, butcher and a local supermarket are just down the road. Private bedroom with comfy double bed , as well as private modern bathroom . Feel free to use the kitchen. Enjoy the view from our balcony or garden. Please refrain from smoking in the house. We both work full time - but we are happy to be there for our guests in the evening and on weekends. We have maps, travel guides (mainly in German and English) and plenty of tips where to go, what to see and where to eat. Upon request we prepare a small breakfast . We both speak English and German - a little French . My partner also speaks Italian fluently . We love to travel and look forward to meeting new people and having interesting conversations. Buy freshly baked bread at the local bakery and enjoy it with a hot coffee on the balcony. Peace and tranquility of a village - and yet just a short drive from the city . Go hiking - through vineyards, forests , to the Rhine . Bike to Nussbaumer lake or jump into the public pool to cool off . Take a stroll through Stein am Rhein and take a loot at the painted houses . Take the boat from Stein to Schaffhausen, stop by the Rhine Falls. Go Shopping in Winterthur or visit one of the many museums. Enjoy a wine tasting at a local winery. Visit Konstanz, on the banks of lake constance. Enjoy the international atmosphere, the lake, the mountain view or a concert in Zurich.
