Rural Worcestershire Farmhouse
Situated in the heart of the Teme Valley, the Annexe serves as the perfect country retreat. Popular with walkers and day trippers alike and those keen on immersing themselves in nature. The building itself is a beautiful Grade 11 listed Queen Anne farmhouse with courtyard, simply decorated, complete with exposed beams and unique features. Comfortable sleeping and cooking arrangements. Woodburner and large selection of books. Two pubs one within a mile offering food and wi-fi. Lovely exploring. Guests can expect a relaxed visit and can do as much or as little as they wish! Unsuitable for very young children due to open stairs. Site is on a working farm with ducks, chickens and peacocks wandering about. There is a Shetland pony and larger pony in the paddock at the rear of the Annexe. Older children are welcome to use the trampoline and slide/climbing frame under supervision and at your own liability. There is ample parking for our guests and cars are left at the owners risk (The peacocks have been known to peck very shiny cars, they see their reflection and think it's another bird). We are available next door to the property to answer any questions you may have or to help with any problems. Apart from this we like to allow our guests the privacy they desire. We have lots of lovely restaurants in the area and the people are very friendly. The main attraction is the beautiful countryside and position; making it easy to visit Hereford with it's Cathedral , Worcester and lots of surrounding villages. Hanley William is a tiny Hamlet with it's own little church and pub and was once all part of the Hanley Court Estate making it interesting to historians. There is a Safari Park at Bewdely and the Severn Valley steam railway with lots of interesting stops along the way including Bridgenorth and Arley. Ludlow has a castle and is a major food capital there is also a leisure centre there too. World famous Shelsley Hill Climb is on our doorstep; a great day out for all car enthusiasts. There is a large choice of walking routes in the Hanley William area and they are all marked out with signs, however, we will be able to point you in the right direction depending on how far you want to walk! Obviously a car is essential for all other trips around the area!The local town of Tenbury wells is approx 6 miles away and has all the usual essentials including Indian restaurants, cafes, fuel, swimming pool , cinema and car park etc. Also doctors, dentist and local hospital. The Annexe is geared towards open plan living so lends itself very well to families. The downstairs living area consisting of large kitchen and living room. Upstairs is a run of three bedrooms, the first of which is accessed by the stairs, and then leads on to the second bedroom which in turn leads on to the third bedroom. The family bathroom with shower and bath is accessed from the second/middle bedroom. The thorny subject of WiFi We now have Wifi, however we are in a remote location and the WiFi service is not great and certainly not very fast. We are prone to outages but for us 'out in the sticks' to have any sort of Wifi coverage is progress!
