Maple Bay is a quiet seaside community with local pubs & restaurants, ocean side park, kayak rentals, coffee shop, hiking trails & world class mountain biking. We are 42 mins from the Duke Point ferry terminal, 50 mins from the Nanaimo Departure Bay terminal and 1 hr & 15 mins from the Swartz Bay terminal. The town of Duncan, a 15 minute drive away, has a variety of grocery stores, shops and restaurants, farmers' market, as well as Walmart, Home Depot etc. If you are taking the ferry over from Vancouver, the Nanamio ferry terminals are closer to the cabin than the Victoria terminal. Additionally, with Nanaimo you don't have to deal with Victoria rush hour traffic and the unpredictible Malahat Highway.
