Glenview - A Warm Scottish Welcome in the Glen.

Glenview House is situated in the heart of a beautiful Scottish glen, namely Glen Urquhart. We offer quality accommodation in a countryside location , providing the opportunity for all our lovely guests to experience the very best Scotland has to offer. Inside a wood burning stove, luxurious tweed soft furnishings, quality local hand crafted toiletries all make for a wonderful experience. Outside, a private decking area surrounded by nature, ensure our lovely guests can relax and truly unwind. Our private apartment comprises of a well equipped kitchenette, a modern bathroom with shower and luxury toiletries, a stunning conservatory where you can relax and absorb the sheer beauty of the surrounding glen. We offer dining facilities, a comfortable seating area in front of a cosy log burning fire - the perfect space to enjoy the board games or reading material we offer, enjoy some T.V, or just relax and enjoy the fire! Guests have full access to a private apartment. They have their own front entrance, a decked area, seating and space to BBQ, for their sole use. We share the entrance to the driveway, but park separately. Our house joins on to the apartment, but we have our own private entrance and garden. Guests really do have the opportunity to feel close to and appreciate nature, while being close to all the local amenities and many places of interest. We love welcoming guests and truly want to make your stay as special as possible. We aim to meet any requests guests may have and will always be at the end of the phone and around every morning and evening. We also fully respect our guests privacy and hope everyone really enjoys our apartment and outdoor space and create lots of happy memories during their stay. We benefit from a countryside location, however we are only a 15 minute safe walk, into the village of Drumnadrochit, where there are lovely restaurants, coffee shops, gift shops, post office, tourist information and laundrette.Some businesses close from November - March , however there are still restaurants and shops that open all year. There is also a large Co op grocery store, doctors and pharmacy a 25 minute stroll away. For those who enjoy a longer walk, Urquhart Castle is a beautiful two mile walk and the shores of Loch Ness are around the same. Boat trips of varying length depart from Inverness, Dochgarroch and Fort Augustus to Urquhart Castle frequently throughout the day. We feel very lucky to stay in such a beautiful part of Scotland and love sharing our local knowledge with guests, to make their stay as memorable as possible. Our apartment is a safe half mile walk, or two minute drive from the village of Drumnadrochit. Our countryside location lends itself to guests experiencing the tranquility of nature, while being in walking distance of all the amenities needed, for a truly special holiday. There is a bus stop in the village which links the village to the east and west. There are also taxi's available for hire. Drop off and collections to and from the village and beyond can be arranged with us for those who don't have a car, if required. Our location lends itself to many interesting and enjoyable walks : from a gentle stroll to the Great Glen Way!! In case we are not around when you arrive, we have a lock box for keys. Details will be sent before guest arrival. We are located in a beautiful countryside location with all amenities (restaurants, shops etc) within just over a half mile radius. We can also take guests to the shops by car if it helps. For those wanting accommodation next to hotels/ bars etc this may not be the best location for you. xx
