A self contained cottage at the beach

A 50 metre stroll down the drive and you are on the beach. Whangaparaoa's quiet bay - Matakatia -with extensive views of the Hauraki Gulf and Auckland city. A tidal but comparatively safe swimming beach. This recently renovated fully self contained cottage has one bedroom ,bathroom, laundry and an open plan kitchen, dining, and lounge which also contains a comfortable queen sofa bed. A travel cot is available. There is a boat ramp within 100 metres. A great bay for swimming, fishing, waterskiing, paddle boarding, windsurfing etc. We are 1.7 kms from Manly Village which includes a bar and a variety of local and ethnic restaurants as does Gulf Harbour village which is within 3.5 kms. A regular ferry service operates from Gulf Harbour marina to downtown Auckand . There are a number of beaches on the peninsula and it is a 7 minute walk to Tindalls Bay on the northern side of the peninsula. There are 2 golf courses within the 5.2 kms to Shakespear regional park with it's bird life, walks and beaches.
