Bed and Breakfast in south-west France

Come and stay with us in our lovely, traditional French house, formerly a vineyard for the local drink of pineau. We have two double bedrooms and a twin bedroom, each with ensuite bathrooms, plus a large family room with a double bed and bunk beds and ensuite bathroom. A French buffet-style breakfast is included, and is available at a time to suit you. Feel free to make use of the large grounds, or just relax in the sunshine on the patio. The price listed is 60 Euros per night for a double bedroom with ensuite facilities. Please ask for details for other requirements. We are happy to host larger parties in our flexible accommodation. Children can be accommodated in with parents as required. Cots and highchairs are available. Message me and I will do my best to meet your needs. In addition to your private bedroom with ensuite facilities, you are more than welcome to access hot and cold drinks from the shared dining area. There is 24 hour access to a large American style fridge freezer, so feel free to stock your own items in there. You will be staying in our family home.I live and work in the village of St. Romain so am always around to offer help and advice on anything to enhance your stay such as where to eat or which tourist attractions to visit. I am also on hand to help arrange anything to help make your stay enjoyable For example: Airport:/train station collections Flower deliveries The village of Saint Romain is a very typical quiet French village, with a small shop and restaurant. However, the location offers the best of both worlds as it is only a 5 minute's drive away (or 20 min. walk) from Aubeterre sur Dronne, officially classed as "one of the most beautiful villages" in France. Here you will find lots of cafes and shops nestled amongst beautiful architecture. There is also a riverside beach with bar and cafe, and canoeing is also available from here. Getting around As with much of rural France a car is highly recommended as the best way of enhancing your stay. Further afield, there is an abundance of scenery and tourist attractions awaiting your visit, from the vineyards and sunflowers that make up the stunning scenery of this region to golf, horse riding and cycling for the more active tourist. Don't forget to visit the many bars and cafes in the area to enjoy a spot of people watching! No smoking in the house, but allowed in the gardens.
