My home is near Blackwood 10 miles from Caerphilly in Cwm Argoed, 1 mile from the Maes Manor hotel, 1 mile from Pen Y Fan pond. It is a large bungalow which has a wood burner in the main room. 2 bedrooms available (1 double, 1 single with a pullout that makes a double). There is a short tight lane to get to the village, I work full time please check for check in times. If there are 2 guests booking and they would like both rooms please contact for details. Large detached bungalow set in a quiet semi rural location just 1 mile from The Maes Manor hotel which makes my location idea for people attending functions at the hotel. The location is only 2 miles from the former mining town of Blackwood, 1 mile from Pen Y Fan pond which is ideal for walking and picnics, and 1.5 miles from a large caravan park, 10 miles from the historic town of Caerphilly (with good public transport links), 16 miles from the Brecon beacons andonly 20 miles from Wales' capital city of Cardiff. There are good public transport links to Cardiff with trains running regularly from the local train station (3 miles to station). There is off road parking in my private drive for up to 2+1 cars. Guests will have access to: The fully equipped kitchen during their stay. The large living room with cosy wood burner and television please note that there are many glass ornaments and other small hazards for younger children. Please note if there are 2 of you and you require both rooms there is a separate cost for each bedroom, please contact me for details of how to book both rooms thanks. Bedroom 1 with double pine bed, bedside tables, double wardrobe (with hangers), long mirror for that final check before you go out. I am happy to provide bath towels. Bedroom 2 with a single pine bed that has a pull out bed underneath see pics, this makes a double, the beds together stretch the total width of the box room, so access in and out of the bed is from the bottom, they are very comfortable beds just a little inconvenient for getting in and out , again I am happy to provide bath towels. Use of the family bathroom with bath, over-bath shower, toilet and sink plus toiletries (everything from teeth to toes!). I have private en suite. WiFi accessible in all parts of the property. Being a more mature host I am comfortable and confident with people however I respect other's privacy. As I work during the week you would have privacy and space during this time. The neighbourhood is a small hamlet in a quiet cul-de-sac. Being quite remote, access is via a lane where you turn into a small terrace, go past 12 terraced houses to 6 detached private houses at the end of the road (so you can as much noise as you like!). There is a bus stop at the top of the hill (about 400 yards from the bungalow) with links to Blackwood. I share my home with a medium-sized English springer spaniel dog named Freya who is friendly, loving and caring. As my home is semi rural the only noise you will hear in the evenings are the owls and the local river, in the mornings all you will hear are the birds.
