Orange Olives - Casa Vermelha

A one bedroom house with kitchen, living & dining room on the ground floor, and bedroom and shower room on the first floor. The house is fully equipped for self-catering, with heating and hotwater provided by solar and wood-burner from our house. Onsite we have a large saltwater swimming pool which is shared with all the cottages. The pool is 15 m x 6 m, and has a large surrounding patio where you can enjoy the sun from dawn to dusk. Just lie back and soak-up the sun. A renovated stone barn, adjacent to Casa Azul, now providing a self-contained, delightful, one bedroom house with kitchen, living & dining room on the ground floor, and bedroom and shower room on the first floor. The house is fully equipped for self-catering, and has central heating (when required) and hotwater provided by solar and wood-burner from our house. The kitchen has a hob, extractor, oven, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, sink, and dish-washer. Together with cutlery & crockery, pots & pans and all the little things we would expect to find, but have not, when staying in self-catering. The sitting area has a dining table & chairs, easy chairs and a well-stocked bookcase. Each bed has a comfortable mattress, with 2 duck-down & feather pillows and duck-down & feather duvet. If required, the beds can be put together to make a king-size double. All linens are provided including towels for the pool. Guest have full use of the Casa, and have the opportunity to explore the whole of the Quinta. The Owners live onsite and are available to assist, if requested. Our Quinta is fully organic, 5 hectares, with a 300 tree Olive Grove, small vineyard, vegetable garden, and terraces with more vines, fruit trees, nut trees and an abundance of wild flowers. We offer you the opportunity to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the Portuguese countryside, and are well located for exploring the area. We are conveniently located less than 10 minutes’ drive from Oliveira do Hospital, and can easily found from the main road, with an easily navigable entrance track. No need for an off-road vehicle. We have three, one bedroom houses on the Quinta that are available for rent, either singularly or as a group. Come and relax and get away from the stresses and strains of everyday life. You will find many secluded areas of dappled sunlight, where you can just sit back and listen to the silence interspersed with a backdrop of the sounds of nature. It is recommended that Guests come by car for ease of getting around. Having said that, the local town of Oliveira do Hospital, 10 mins drive away, is on the route of the Rede Expressos bus service, and we can collect you from the station.
