Relax in this cozy, well maintained and equipped 1940's cottage. The decor is rustic farmhouse. Ten can sleep in 5 bedrooms over 2 floors. There is an inviting lounge arranged for conversation in front of the fireplace and a dishwasher and laundry for convenience. There is a full bath on each floor. There are 2 decks, a screened-in porch and lawn. Great for kids with a packed sand waterfront, and over 5 acres to explore. CITQ #284351 This is a historic cottage, but large, warm and comfortable. The pine interior was likely milled on the property. The property is private as there are no neighbours on either side. There is about 1000 feet of waterfront along lac des Iles and the Petite Rouge river. There is a waterfall at the source of the Petite Rouge. The lake is perfect for children as there is a packed sand bottom and gradual slope. Please note that during the COVID-19 pandemic, extra cleaning precautions are being taken. We remind you to respect any regulations regarding the size and configuration of your party, to please stay home if you are ill and notify the owner if anyone becomes ill with symptoms similar to COVID-19 while at the cottage. Guests may access all spaces except the locked rooms and the basement. The cottage come with two kayaks, two canoes and a paddle board. The docked pontoon boat is not included in the rental and there is no access point for your boat on the lake. Unfortunately, due to maintenance issues, new reservations will no longer accommodate pets. Joni can be reached at home or by phone or by e-mail. The housekeeper lives close by. The cottage is five minutes from Namur where there is a small grocery store, gas station and hardware store. Larger stores and restaurants are 15 minutes away in Cheneville. World class sports and amenities including a casino can be found 40 minutes away at Mont Tremblant village or Mont Blanc. Easy access from Ottawa if 1,5 hours or less and just under 2 hours from Montreal. The hamlet contains a number of cottage properties. For the kids, Park Omega is 20 minutes away and for golfers, the course is about 15 minutes away. A car is essential. Parking is onsite and there is room for 4 vehicles. There is an airport about 45 minutes away at Mont Tremblant. The owners have added a small library; take a book and bring a book. Note that the TV is by satellite and may be affected by weather. Bring DVD's. The internet connection is generally very good; however recently, guests have reported occasional variance in speed. During the summer, there is a minimum stay of one week. There is a ramp up the back, but lips in between some rooms. Those who have challenges walking may stay nicely on the lower floor.
