It's a wonderful space for families, perfect for visiting family and friends or if you're in town for business. In 2018 we completed a full renovation of our 100 year old Queenslander home which included an all new Guestsuite downstairs. Our kids are grown up and not at home so the space hasn't been used so this is a win for you! The spacious downstairs area is all for your use. You can park your car inside the property so you are not on the street. Our home is on a hill and we have wonderful breezes and a lovely green leafy outlook. You are welcome to wander in the gardens or have your coffee on the terrace listening to the local birds going about their day. Our very friendly (& lazy) greyhound, Audrey, may even drag herself out of bed to come and say hi. We hope you enjoy your time here, we love it and hope you will too. Included in the Guestsuite are: Bedroom 1 - Queen bed, large builtin wardrobe with hangers and draws, clock radio, fan and air-conditioning. Bedroom 2 - Queen bed, large builtin wardrobe with hangers and draws, desk and chair, clock radio, fan and air-conditioning, full length mirror. Bedroom 3 - 2 King single beds, large wardrobe with hangers and draws, fan and air-conditioning. Port-a-cot and change table. An additional single mattress is available (great for little ones who sleep beside Mum & Dad's bed). Bathroom - fully tiled bathroom, heat lamp, ample towel rails and the world's best shower - it's huge! (in my opinion) Lounge area - comfy leather lounge, coffee table, TV, DVD player and Foxtel. Books, jigsaws and cards on the shelves. Kitchen - full kitchen with large fridge, stove and cook-top, microwave, kettle, toaster, espresso machine, coffee plunger and tea pot. The kitchen is well stocked with cutlery, crockery, glassware, platters and storage containers. There is cookware if you wish to cook and if you need anything more we are bound to have it and can provide. There is a small table and chairs in the kitchen. Patio - there is a large outdoor, undercover area exclusively for your use. There is a lounge (these chairs can go inside too if you wish) and a dining table and chairs. Gardens - we have a large backyard, it is steep at the back but you are welcome to explore. There are large grass areas and flower beds to enjoy or you can just relax and enjoy the view on the terrace. Also provided are a vacuum cleaner, broom and dustpan and basic cleaning supplies. There is an iron and ironing board and a hair dryer. The entire guestsuite is for your private use. The private entry allows 24 hour entry if you require late check in. The entry gives you access to a stately hallway with 3 spacious bedrooms opening off the hallway. The bathroom is located between bedrooms 1 & 2 (the 2 Queen bed rooms). The bathroom is full size and has a very large luxurious shower. At the end of the hall is the living area. This is the lounge, dining and kitchen area. The covered patio opens out from the lounge room. All of these areas are for your private use. You are welcome to explore and enjoy the gardens. If you see us you are welcome to come and say hi, we enjoy meeting our guests and we are happy to share our local knowledge or answer any questions you might have. There is a washing machine and dryer on the patio for your use. Longer stays are available on request. There is also a little wiggle room between bookings so please contact us if your need another day either side of what is showing as available. Access to the guestsuite is available 24 hours a day. If you are arriving late or super early we will let you know how to get inside. Please however don't hesitate to ask us if you require any assistance (we do know the yummiest places around for dinners and especially the best coffee!). Oxley is an older suburb of Brisbane. Being on the train line, with the city just 21 minutes away, the Oxley Village area can be a busy hub of activity. It is home to a selection of stores and services within easy walking distance. The train is about 5 mins away and the bus is 2 doors away. The city is 21 mins from Oxley by train. If you have a car you are only 5 mins from 3 major access roads to Brisbane city. The Gold Coast is 1 hour away and the Sunshine Coast is 1.5 hrs away. It is approx 45mins to the theme parks in Coomera. For easy outings from Oxley there is Lone Pine Koala sanctuary, Sherwood Arboretum, Corinda Swimming Pool or Jindalee Swimming Pool. There is a golf driving range in Oxley and a Golf Course, there is another golf course close by at Jindalee. Brisbane airport is 30-40 mins from our Guestsuite. If you use the tunnels please note tolls apply. The local bus will take you to both Indooroopilly Shopping Centre and Mt Ommaney Shopping Centre. The train or bus can take you to Brisbane City. From the city it is easy to wander to the Southbank precinct which has many entertainment options, food choices and the theatres and museum are also here.
