"Townsville Shines" is a charming 2 bedroom holiday cottage nestled at the base of the iconic Castle Hill in the heart of Townsville's CBD. Enjoy the renovated old world charm of this historic Queenslander-style home, only a short walk to Townsville's most loved places: the iconic Strand beach, Queensland Country Bank Stadium, Palmer St restaurant precinct, great cafes, weekend markets, waterpark, casino.. and much more! Conveniently located for bus/ferry/taxi terminals, grocery stores etc. With city views and 3m high ceilings, this breezy cottage is well appointed with comfortable beds in both bedrooms, and a sofa bed in the living room. We'll happily supply additional bedding and infant cot if required. Aircon, Wifi, smart TV, kitchen, outdoor laundry, Nespresso coffee maker, Pet friendly by request. Free street parking is limited but available. This 2 bedroom cottage shares a massive 1400m2 rustic elevated inner-city garden with our home. We'll leave you to your own devices with independent check-in and plenty of maps and information on some of our favourite things to do in the area. We know you'll love our location as much as we do. Start your mornings watching the sunrise and birdlife from the comfort of your cottage or stroll down to the beach for a early morning swim. Grab a coffee from a local cafe, head to the weekend markets for fresh produce, read in the rustic back courtyard, or head out for a bit of nightlife at the Stadium and dine at one of the many great local restaurants. For those seeking fitness, tackle the Castle Hill walking tracks, jog the well-lit Strand, or visit one of several local gyms or yoga studios. Most things are in easy walking distance but for those that prefer assisted transport around the CBD, you can catch an electric scooter by downloading the Neuron or Beam apps. Taxi, bus and Magnetic Island ferry terminals are nearby for exploration further afield. Bus routes are quite direct from the CBD to James Cook University and the Townsville University Hospital.
