Watermill, Granary & Millpond Caravan, Penegoes

The Watermill and Granary date from the 15th century and both cottages retain many original features including a working water wheel and internal cogs. The cottages and caravan are spacious, cosy and, being next to each other, are ideal for families, friends and professionals. They are fully equipped with all essentials. There is a short, lovely walk up the waterfall and a large private car park for cars & mini buses. Parties or events are not allowed whilst we are in these unprecedented times. Both cottages and the caravan are self-contained. The Watermill is the larger of the two - the kitchen is on the ground floor with 'feature' mill cogs and a large dining table for 10+ (with other seating for further guests), lounge and family bathroom on the 2nd floor and bedrooms (two double bedroom plus one en suite and a bedroom with two singles) to the 3rd floor. The Granary has an open plan kitchen, lounge with lovely roof beams. Off the lounge is a double bed room and a bedroom with two single beds. Up a short flight of stairs from the lounge is the bunk-bed room and a small family bathroom. The Millpond caravan has a lovely outlook over the millpond and has a double room, another room with two small singles, a family bathroom and further wc. The Millpond Caravan is a short walk from the cottages. The WiFi is usually good in all the cottages. It's a quiet location with easy access to Machynlleth for shopping & eating, Aberdovey for the sea and the mountains for great walks. (There's a lovely walk on the Glyndŵr's Way just outside the front door of the cottages). Guests are encouraged to enjoy the short waterfall walk and surrounding area. Please close all gates. The wooden decking by the Millpond is the only area that remains private. IMPORTANT: Guests are asked to unload on arrival and then park their cars, at all times, in the private car park, back up the lane on the right, through the new set of gates.
