Little Upton Bridge Threshing Barn provides a superb location for a family or a group of friends to holiday or celebrate. With a total of 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms across two barns (the main Threshing Barn and the smaller Courtyard Barn that has 2 ensuite double bedrooms) as well as kitchen and lounge complete with wood burner. The barn has lots of space to be together but also to find some quiet time. The barns are located in the countryside with a deck and covered private hot tub where you can relax or watch the local wildlife, or maybe amble along the footpaths to one of the 3 pubs all serving fantastic food, beer and cider. The main barn has 4 bedrooms a huge lounge large enough for the whole group and a double height kitchen where everyone can sit down to eat. The Courtyard Barn which is a stones throw away provides another 2 bedrooms and 2 shower rooms and is brand new for 2021. Outside there is a fully enclosed heated swimming pool (Open May to Sept up to 28 degrees with private sessions) located in a walled garden. Your private hot tub and sauna are located in a covered area with an open end and views across the countryside and there is an outside games area with table tennis, table football and a pool table. Plus there is the shared heated pool with private terrace and a large field around a ten minute walk down footpaths that can be used for activities, picnics and games There is always someone available to welcome you or help with anything you might need. But if you don't need us you won't see us. We work hard to make sure guests privacy is respected while ensuring facilities like the hot tub and pool are maintained to the highest standards. South Somerset is a beautiful area with the wildlife and mists of the Somerset Levels, the history and legends of Glastonbury and King Arthur, the lovely ham stone towns and villages and maybe best of all the pubs, cider and local produce. Within an hour you can visit two coasts, the towns of Bristol and Bath, Stonehenge, Glastonbury Tor, Cheddar Gorge, undiscovered villages like Somerton and Langport with their fantastic local shops and cafes.The Barn is located in the picturesque village of Long Sutton with its blue lias houses, a church, pub and shop located around the village green. Within 1 mile there are 2 other pubs, one being regarded as the best in Somerset. Within 20 minutes you can visit Glastonbury with its Tor, Abbey and unusual shops and restaurants, Street with its Factory outlet shopping, several wildlife sanctuaries, Langport, Somerton, multiple National Trust houses and open gardens, Haynes Motor Museum, The Fleet Air Arm Museum etc. The area is also full of local Cider Farms that can be visited(& sampled) as well as a farm shop within a mile, a local smokery and several local butchers, greengrocers and delis. There is parking for 5 cars at the house and we can arrange more. There is a Berrys bus from London that stops 5 minutes away and nearest train stations are Castle Cary (2o mins), Yeovil (25mins) and Taunton (30 mins). There are local taxis and minibuses that you can organise You can book all your activities such as a chef, catering, meals at the pub or massages, cider & wine tasting or archery and ax throwing...there is so much to choose from
