Beautiful gite with stunning views & pool
Set on a hill above picturesque Simorre, with stunning views of the village & surrounding countryside. South facing sitting room - log burning stove, Smart TV & dining area. Well equipped kitchen - gas cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave. 2 b’rooms. Electric heating in all rooms (extra charge). Bathroom - rain shower, wc & basin. Terraces on 3 sides for eating, aperitifs or relaxing. BBQ. Large salt water pool situated in orchard of cherry, plum & fig trees. La Beziade is a peaceful oasis commanding spectacular views over the 14th century village of Simorre. The gite is very comfortable and well equipped. Highlights include the beautiful pool, and wonderful sunsets to be enjoyed from the terrace. The gite is attached to main house but completely independent, with a separate entrance and private parking. A fold up bed, cot and high chair available if needed. I live in the main house, and will be on hand to help and advise if required. Having lived in the area for many years I can assist with local knowledge on things to do etc. The village of Simorre, which is a 10 minute walk from the property, has an excellent bakery, small supermarket, pharmacy, post office with ATM. There is an excellent restaurant, Bouche a Oreille, in the village square which serves delicious, imaginative home cooked food. Self-serve petrol station. The village of Simorre is a very activity community, and a cultural hub, with live music most weekends in the summer months, as well as the Musique dans le Gers Festival in August featuring renowned global players. There is a tennis court in the village, which is available to rent. Several of the surrounding villages feature lakes with children's play and swimming areas. La Beziade is approximately 70kms south west of Toulouse. Auch, the capital of the Gers, is approximately half an hours drive. Skiing or walking in the Pyrenees can be reached within one and a half hours. Marciac, home of the famous Marciac Jazz festival is around one hour's drive. A car is recommended in this part of France if you want to get around, as there is no public transport to Simorre. Local taxi can be booked, subject to availability.
