Marion Bay Bungalow

This lovely bungalow is in a serene location just a short stroll from a beautiful beach with pristine waters, surrounded by diverse wildlife. Marion Bay is a gateway to both Tasmania's iconic East Coast, and the Tasman Peninsula including a selection of wineries / distilleries only a short drive away. This is a lovely self contained bungalow with double bed, ensuite bathroom and a kitchenette which includes a small microwave / grill oven. There is a small table seating two inside and another table seating two outside. The bungalow is modern and cosy. There is a panel heater for cooler nights. The bungalow was the original ice-cream shop at Marion Bay. It was extensively renovated in 2018 but has kept the original timer paneling on the exterior. The block is secure and gated, with a large backyard surrounded by bushland which guests can use. The bungalow is directly adjacent a larger main house which can also be booked separately (see listing Marion Bay Bliss) for larger groups and can include the Bungalow. Regardless, when booking this Bungalow on its own you will have exclusive access to the property during your stay as the two listings cannot be booked separately at the same time. We will be available throughout your stay. Please contact us if you have any troubles at all. Our neighborhood is small and we all share in this slice of paradise. The beach at Marion Bay is about 50m from the property. It is great for walking, and you can easily walk along the beach an hour in either direction. To explore the local area and produce we recommend Cape Bernier and Bangor wineries. Lots of people grow their own fruit and veg in the area so look out for roadside stalls especially the Bream Creek community shed on Burnt Hill Road, which sells seasonal fruit, veg, honey, eggs and milk from the Bream Creek dairy. If you like fresh oysters the Oyster shed in Boomer Bay is excellent. Nearby shops for simple provisions include the Copping roadhouse (5 mins drive) and the Shell service station in the nearby town of Dunnally (10 mins drive). The large town of Sorell is 25 minutes drive and has major supermarkets. Hobart is 45 mins drive and the Airport is 35 mins drive. This property has a strict no party policy. Marion Bay is a relaxed location and local residents live there for the peace and quiet. If you are seeking a chilled getaway with family or friends then this is the perfect location. But if seeking any type of party, noise or actions causing disruption then this is not the place.
