Country style garden room

A private room in an old rural villa, which serves partly as an art gallery. The place is located next to river Sava (which you can access), with beautiful natural surroundings, perfect for hikers, bikers and fishermen, 1 km from Radovljica and 7 km from Bled. Outside the house is a large garden, where you can sit and relax or enjoy your breakfast or dinner in the garden pavilion. The house, as it looks today, was built in a rural Art Nouveau style in 1929 on a basis of an even older house from the end of the 19th century. In the past, there used to be the seat of a wood trading company and for a while even a village inn and a toll house. Today, the house serves also as an art gallery and the seat of an art society. Sometimes we host art events, such as exhibition openings. You are welcome to use other spaces in the house and outside: kitchen, living room in the basement, bathroom, two toilets, balcony, garden. These spaces are used also by the family and other guests. Throughout your stay, someone will be available for advice regarding the place and the surroundings. We are also happy to help you with planning the rest of the trip in Slovenia. Usually my mother is the one who welcomes guests, as she lives in the house. I am there mostly on weekends. The house is located 1 km out of city Radovljica next river Sava. It is a very peaceful location, perfect for recharging, but close enough to top Slovenia turist destinations - Bled and Bohinj, especially if you are travelling by car (both places are also accesible by bikes). It is also really nice just to take a stroll by the river - there is a new interactive info path dedicated to the river. It is also possible to take a swim in it or go on a rafting tour. We recommend Kunstelj Restaurant in Radovljica for a dinner, where you can try some local specialities made from locally produced ingredients like hommade rolled cottage chease dumplings, buckwheat porridge with vegetables and smoked trout or grilled sausage. Parking is available right at the house. The train station is 1,5 km away (15 min walking distance, uphill). There are good train connections to Ljubljana and Lesce-Bled. There is a local bus station right next to the house, with not so frequent connections to Radovljica and Kropa. The main bus station is in Radovljica 2 km away (20 min walking distance, uphill). You can catch a bus to Bled, Bohinj, Ljubljana and many other places there. Every Tuesday in July and August, you can join the tourist Hop on – hop off bus (Website hidden by Airbnb) which stops in front of the house, and visit places: Radovljica, Kropa, Bled.
