3 bedroom (sleeps 6) family home, Nunhead/Peckham
A comfortable and cosy Victorian house in a welcoming neighbourhood, with parks, restaurants and cafes on your doorstep - and central London just a short journey away by train, bus or taxi. Ideal for families wanting somewhere quiet to stay, and a garden to relax in, while also being well connected to enjoy the sights of Central London. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms, a bedroom with two toddler beds, and a bathroom with bath and shower cubicle. A travel cot is also available. Downstairs there is a double reception room with sofas, chairs, projector and piano, a separate toilet, and a fully equipped kitchen with double doors leading onto a well kept garden with its own table, chairs, bench and children's playhouse. A fully tanked cellar contains a washing machine and tumble dryer. Guests are more than welcome to use all kitchen appliances (please ask for specifics) and cooking supplies. The sitting room has a CD/DVD player and amplifier, as well as a projector for screening TV (including Netflix) or films. There is WiFi access in the house. All beds will be made up, with towels provided for all guests, and there will be shampoo/shower gel in the bathroom and washing powder/ dishwasher tablets available. There is free on-street parking. We won't be here, but will either be staying nearby or available to call for help. The host speaks French, German, Dutch and English. There is a cleaner - day to be confirmed once guests book. Nunhead is a quiet neighbourhood in Zone 2, and the house is on a residential street. There is plenty of beautiful green space within walking distance - Telegraph Hill, Peckham Rye, Nunhead Cemetery - as well as a small high street with its own fishmonger, baker, butcher, deli and a good selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants. More details on request. We are just a ten minute walk from the increasingly fashionable neighbourhood of Peckham with its fast-growing selection of bars, cafes, restaurants and other attractions like a rooftop cinema and the newly created Peckham Levels. East Dulwich (20 minute walks) and Lordship Lane (PictureHouse cinema, bakeries, shops restaurants) is also within walking distance, while the open spaces of Blackheath (by train), museums and park of Greenwich (bus) and the award-winning Horniman Museum (bus) are all short journeys away. The house is a short (8 minute) walk from both Nunhead station - regular trains to Victoria (15 minutes), Blackfriars (15 minutes) and London St Pancras (32 minutes) - and Queen's Road Peckham, which has regular trains to London Bridge (9minutes) and is also on the London Overground line. Central London is also linked to the area by a wide range of buses. We live here with our young family, so if you are staying with small children then please feel free to play with the toys/read the books. Friendly host speaks French, German, English and Dutch.
