Large Waterfront Property
You’ll love our place because of its size, the location on a sheltered bay and with a child friendly enclosed backyard. Enjoy a BBQ on the back verandah after kayaking/fishing. This is a great holiday destination close to restaurants, shops and sports fields. Ideal for extended families, small groups and business travellers. It is not suitable for a large group of singles due to its accommodation layout and location in a quiet neighbourhood. It is definitely not a party house. There are 5 large bedrooms (two with ensuites), a separate bathroom and separate toilet make for easy living for up to 14 guests. Main bed is queen plus fold up bed, 2nd bed is a queen, 3rd bed has two double bunks and 4th bed has 2 singles. There is an additional double bunk in a screened area. Downstairs bed is a double with ensuite all on one level with lounge dining. There is internal access from the large double garage which houses a second frig. The house has ducted air conditioning and there is a fully equipped kitchen for those wanting to self cater. The laundry has a washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities. A large dining lounge area can easily cater for all guests 14/16. The large rear verandah enjoys water views and a BBQ for outdoor entertainment. You have access to the whole house with fully enclosed front and backyards with a cubby house/slide, trampoline and generous lawn area. Three kayaks are available for guest use. Bring your own inflatables or tinnie. Air hockey can be made available for stays of 3 days or more. We live off site, but can usually be contacted if needed Relax by the water and enjoy the local wildlife including ducks, black swans and other water birds. Have a fish. You might even catch a crab. Explore the bay by kayak and don't forget to paddle up the nearby creek and be surprised by what you find. There is easy access to the vineyards and Hunter Valley Gardens via the M1 and Hunter Expressway or the beaches are only 25 to 30 minutes away as is the City Centre. Lake Macquarie art gallery and the Northern NSW Regional Sports Centre is also close by as is the Stocklands Retail and Cinema Complex. The property is easily accessible (2.3 kM) from Fassifern Station. If driving from Sydney or Northern or Western NSW the Property is accessed from the Toronto/Awaba Interchange (Toronto exit) on the M1. The Northern railway is 2.3 kM away (Fassifern). A bus service operates between Toronto and Charlestown (Route 269), University of Newcastle (Route 270) and Glendale (Route 271). The bus stop is approx 0.25kM away. By car there is easy access via main roads to Toronto to the South and Speers Point and Glendale to the North. The Hunter Valley is accessible via the M1 and the Hunter Expressway (45 mins). This property is a short distance off the M1 Motorway just a hour North of Sydney. It is situated within (VERY) easy reach of restaurants, boutique shops and shopping centres. Lake Macquarie art gallery is close by and it is about 3/4 hour drive down the Hunter expressway to the Hunter Valley Gardens with its many attractions. Newcastle's renowned beaches are also a short drive away. There is secure parking for 1 vehicle and off street parking for 2 or more and space for up to 14 guests. A small neighbourhood shopping centre is only a couple of minutes away.
