Spacious studio, own kitchen & panoramic views!
Wonderful 18th century townhouse in the centre of Diss' conservation area, and next to all amenities of this heritage town. Located on the ground floor, the lovely light studio room overlooks Diss mere and the old town. A spacious bedroom studio, with walk in wardrobe, ensuite shower room and a separate kitchen. There is a nice seating area with sofa and coffee table. French doors lead into a private courtyard - a lovely sun trap during the day - where meals can be enjoyed in the summer. A separate fully equipped kitchen is adjacent to the bedroom, with washer/dryer, solely for the use of the our guests. There is no parking at the house, however there is free parking close by. Guests have access to the front entrance - its a shared entrance to the townhouse - and as detailed above, a small kitchen / laundry room plus private courtyard. I live in the top half of the townhouse, and am available throughout the week to answer questions and give suggestions on places to visit. I also have an 11 year old dog who is very friendly towards all humans! Diss is a historic market town, with quaint tea shops situated alongside old pubs and antique shops. The large green park with play areas, picnic benches, and a bandstand is located next to the town's mere - considered one of the deepest in the country - and home to ducks, geese and a couple of swans. Everything you need is within walking distance, and if you do take a drive out, you can visit local attractions such as Bressingham Steam Museum, a mile west outside of Diss and a must for anyone who loves steam engines and train rides through the countryside. There is also large gardens to stroll around, a children's play area, a 19th century fully operational carousel and a fantastic Dads Army museum. South east of Diss is Thornham Walks, where you can enjoy wonderful wooded walks and a little coffee shop that does amazing breakfasts. Banham Zoo is north of Diss and less than 15 mins drive away - a great family day out. Diss has a train station that runs direct into London Liverpool Street, with two trains an hour. The local bus station in the town centre offers routes into Norwich, Bury St Edmunds, Long Stratton and many local market towns within the region.
