Lauri's Cottage - Secluded & Pet Friendly

Set on 5 acres of mainly native bushland, our cottage is a real retreat from the urban rat race. The cottage is well equipped with everything to make your stay enjoyable. We have central hydronic heating but the 2 large open fireplaces are a real feature of the cottage. We are regularly visited by kangaroos, kookaburras and other native wildlife. Fur kids are entirely welcome and we have a secure area with a large kennel if you want to leave them while you explore the delights of Daylesford. The cottage is in native bushland set well back from the road so it is very secluded. There is a large dam (almost a lake) perfect for dogs to go swimming or fishing or yabbying. Beyond the dam at the back of the property is the seasonal Kangaroo creek. Guests are welcome to access the entire property, excluding the downstairs utility room and sauna which are currently undergoing some renovations. We can be contacted during your visit and there is also a small booklet with details of the cottage and recommendation on things to see and do during your stay. The attractions of Daylesford and Hepburn Springs are only 10 minutes drive away. Even closer to home we have the Glenlyon general store which houses a fabulous café. Wineries and a cidery are all only 5 minutes away. We have a large dam in close proximity to the house. The dam is not fenced off from the house so please take this into account if you are thinking of bringing young children.
