Casa Valeggia " is located in a quiet residential area. The house has many windows and sun in charming position above the village of Maggia overlooking the waterfall of the Valle del Salto, nestled in a tropical garden, fully fenced and with a small swimming pool. The bathroom has a large shower, ceiling fan and a large walk-in closet. At the house there is the possibility to swim in the river or at the waterfall. The house was created as a romantic getaway for couples in a private atmosphere. It offers relaxation in the middle of nature with the sound of the waterfall. It is also suitable for families with a child or close friends. The interior is adapted to the tropical style of the surroundings. All comforts are provided, such as TV, Wifi, ceiling fan, indoor and outdoor seating areas, the kitchen is fully equipped. Beautiful outdoor area with sun loungers for sunbathing and al fresco dining. For cooler days there is, in addition to heating, a fireplace. Wood is at your disposal. The Maggia Valley has much to offer its visitors. A dense network of hiking trails, over 800 km long, stretches from the valley to the peaks at over 3000 m above sea level. Often the path leads over paths carved into the rock and imposing stone bridges and crosses villages whose churches and chapels are richly decorated with frescoes. The largely untouched landscapes are rounded off by the Maggia River and its tributaries, which over the course of time have created small beaches of the finest sand, large pools and impressive waterfalls. Winter sports lovers will enjoy the small ski resorts of the Maggia Valley with their carefully prepared slopes! Bosco Gurin in particular is an increasingly popular destination in Ticino thanks to modern ski lifts and its 30 km of slopes, which are always sunny. Those who prefer to explore the Maggia Valley in winter away from the slopes can take part in snowshoe hikes to extremely charming places to experience unforgettable moments in the midst of nature. Casa Valeggia can be reached in about 15 minutes by car from Locarno, parking is available. The bus number 315 takes 25 minutes from Locarno to Maggia. The bus stop is in the center of the village, where there is a Migros, a Coop and other stores. From here it is about 10 minutes walk to the house. In the neighborhood there is the Casa Martinelli, where breakfast is also offered. The old center of Maggia can be reached in a few minutes, where there are various restaurants, grottos, cafes and the famous bakery Poncini with its award-winning Panettone. It is consequently an ideal place also for those who do not want to use their own vehicle. Everything is within walking distance. The Maggia Valley is a paradise for cyclists. The signposted cycle route, suitable for everyone, leads from Locarno to the enchanting Maggia Valley, passing typical villages and untouched nature. Passing through Losone and crossing the rivers Maggia and Melezza, you reach Tegna and Ponte Brolla. From Ponte Brolla, continue on the bike path to Avegno: inaugurated in spring 2016, this newly built bike path allows cyclists to enjoy the ride safely and separated from other traffic. The route leads, for the most part on bike paths, to Cavergno at the entrance of the Bavona Valley. Some stretches between Losone and Tegna and between Gordevio and Aurigeno are on dirt roads. Parking spaces: - There are uncovered private parking spaces assigned to the house, with a sign Casa Valeggia. Attention. The diving waterfall is a tourist attraction and attracts many tourists who unfortunately from time to time allow themselves to park in private parking spaces. The signs are well marked that the parking lots are private and the vehicles will be removed if abused. In front of the parking spaces on the lawn there is a chain that blocks access for unauthorized persons. We recommend that you keep the chain on at all times. There are several parking spaces assigned to the house, so there should always be a free parking space. Swimming Pool: - The pool is not heated. The pool is only filled during the summer months. The pool is filled approximately from May to the end of September. Depending on the temperatures we shorten or lengthen the period of the pool.Please do not touch the filter. The pool is 90cm deep. - Pool filter: During the summer season, please turn on the filter in the morning by pressing the button (gray) and turn off the filter in the evening by pressing the button (yellow), see photo. Make sure the pool is filled with water for the filter to work. The water must be at the level of the black cap on the blue drain pipe. Dogs: - I love dogs and therefore I allow you to bring your beloved friends. However, I ask you please not to let your dog sleep on beds and sofas. I ask for your understanding that I have to charge an additional amount for cleaning if you bring your dog. Unfortunately, because of the many dog hairs, it is necessary to make a special, additional cleaning and disinfection. Extra charge CHF 90.00, to be paid on the spot. Please remove your dog's excrement on the property.
