Very comfortable 2 bedroom absolute waterfront property with own jetty & boatshed. Deck with BBQ & seating for 6 overlooking lawn to lakes edge. Mainbedroom has Queen, 2nd bedroom has two king singles & single bunks. Separate toilet to shower & full size bath. Magnificent view from deck as you enjoy a BBQ with family, overlooking lake & lawn to waters edge. Great fishing, boating & waterskiing with your own jetty & boatshed so bring the boat! Park the car & do your shopping by boat! Kids & dogs will love it! (We have a 3 man canoe & 2 surf skis with life jackets.) Or relax in the hammock & chaise. Main bedroom has queen, second has 2 king singles & set of single bunks. New porta cot & highchair. All rooms have ceiling fans. Airconditioner in loungeroom. DVD's, books, toys & all the home comforts provided. All fresh linen, towels, soaps, shampoo & conditioner provided. The property is all yours to enjoy. I'm only a phone call away & happy to assist in making your stay an enjoyable one. Fishing Point/Rathmines is a fantastic part of beautiful Lake Macquarie. Set on the Western side of the lake it was home to the Catalina Flying Boats in WWII. There are some beautiful lakeside parklands with great history & memorials to the RAAF. We have an excellent shopping village for all your holiday needs only a 2minute drive from the cottage at Rathmines, or go by boat to Wangi Wangi Jetty & shops across the water from the cottage or visit Dobell House, home of the great artist William Dobell. From the cottage it is only 45min to the heart of the Hunter Valley Vineyards & Gardens where you'll pass the Wattagan Mountains, or 30min to Newcastle with it's spectacular beaches, harbour & oceanside walks, galleries, great restaurants & shopping/cafes in Derby St. Magnificent Port Stephens area is just over 1hr away. See amazing sand dunes, glorious beaches, wonderful nature walk with spectacular views & fresh seafood markets. Our closest is a small country station, Awaba only 10min drive from the cottage. The next is Fassifern, a 15min drive, near the waterfront town of Toronto. From the private access road to the cottage there are approx 14 stairs to the front door. The driveway is steep & I recommend only 4wd or cars with high clearance park along side the cottage. There is parking for a car & trailer at the top of the cottage. There is an excellent boatramp in our street & 5 others all within 5-10min drive. Map of lake/boatramps inside cottage.
