Loch Arklet - Traditional Scottish Country House 4

Loch Arklet House has four bedrooms, all with private bathrooms. This listing is for a double room on the first floor (Room 4 - Beinn Ime) which has a private en-suite bathroom. The room has a satellite TV, tea and coffee making facilities and free wifi. A full traditional Scottish breakfast, or vegetarian option, is included in the price and is served in the dining room each morning. Other features include a large patio and garden area and free private parking. Loch Arklet House is a traditional Scottish country house that was built in circa 1890. The family has owned the house since 1999, and it has been used as family holiday home and self-catering accommodation for domestic and overseas guests. In 2019, due to increased tourist demand, we chose to start a family-run Bed and Breakfast. Located on the banks of Loch Arklet, and overlooking the spill-way of a beautiful Victorian sandstone dam, the main balcony of the house affords a superb platform to enjoy magnificent unrestricted views of the Trossachs, Arrochar Alps, and Loch Lomond Glen. The location of Loch Arklet House provides many opportunities for outdoor pursuits including fishing, cycling and hill walking. Even the less adventurous may easily access spectacular panoramic views of Loch Lomond from the Inversnaid road or visit the picturesque and historic villages of Aberfoyle and Callander. The world-famous beauty of Loch Lomond is synonymous with the best of Scottish scenery and the Trossachs are described as 'the Highlands in miniature' with a mountainous landscape that is rich in heather, forest, history and wildlife. This region was much loved by Queen Victoria and has inspired poets and writers such as Sir Walter Scott and William Wordsworth both of whom toured extensively throughout the area. Chas and I will be available when required. Loch Arklet is located in a remote where there is no public transports. The best means to get around is by car. There is private parking available at the house free of charge.
