We offer a cozy private room with a spectacular view at the center of Seoul. Must-see downtown attractions are within walking distance, and major touristic areas (Hongdae, Itaewon, Gangnam) can be easily reached by public transportation. Two airport buses stop right in front of the building; subway stations (Chungjeongno, Seodaemun, City Hall) and Seoul Station are very close. There are a convenient store, cafes, and restaurants in the building. It is modern but quiet, just beside Seosomun Park. Your room has a double bed, a desk, a sofa, a fan, a de/humidifier, a leg massager, a hair drier, a temperature controller, slippers, hangers, and two mirrors (big and small). WiFi (5G) is available. There is a bathroom equipped with a shower and a bidet-toilet that you can use exclusively. Essentials such as soap, shampoo, and towels are obviously included. You can also use our refrigerator and microwave if needed. The building ("Brownstone Seoul") is a multipurpose one that consists of shops/stores on the lower floors and (efficiency) apartments/hotel rooms on the upper floors. In the ground-floor lobby are a security guard and three elevators. Living here, my wife Il-hee and I have our own bedroom/bathroom and use the living room/kitchen daily, but your room and bathroom are entirely for you. The living room, though open to the kitchen you can access, is used as our study, so we hope you will respect our privacy. We will try to be flexible about your check-in time, so please let us know in advance. We are ready to give you information about the area, the city, and the country whenever you need it. We'd also be happy to chat about (Korean) film, art, culture, or history if you'd like. Your room and our home would be just good enough, whether you stay for tourism, business, study, or any event. (Tango dancers are especially welcome! My wife is a seasoned tanguera who can guide you to the fantastic Korean tango scene and give you many useful tips.) Our neighborhood is centrally located yet pretty calm without crowdedness. Among many office buildings and institutions, you can also see small unique stores and old and new eateries. Banks, bakeries, pharmacies, libraries, museums, and parks are just around the corner. You will feel no inconvenience. Seosomun Park beside our building is remodeled to serve as part of a Catholic pilgrimage route, having a memorial for the historic martyrs decapitated around this area centuries ago. In the basement is Seosomun Museum, which has impressive exhibition rooms and a nice library. It's definitely worth visiting. Seoul Station is only one stop away by bus and 10 minutes away by foot. It is not only the center of both the Korean railway and Seoul subway but also has an art museum and a big shopping mall, Lotte Mart. Subway stations - Chungjeongno (Line 2 & 5): 3 minutes away by foot, connected to Hongdae (Hongik University), Sinchon (Yonsei University), Edae (Ewha Woman’s University), and Dongdaemun - Seodaemun (Line 5 & 7) and City Hall (Line 2 & 9): 5-8 minutes away - Seoul Station (Line 1 & 4): 10 minutes away Buses that stop in front of the building (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) : Inchon International Airport (all international lines), (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) mins (Terminal 1 and 2) (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) : Gimpo International Airport (domestic lines + some lines for China and Japan) - 370 (Blue): Jongno (1, 2, 3, 4, 5-ga), Insa-dong, and Gwanhwamun - 603 (Blue): Hongdae Station (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Green): Hongdae, Sangsu-dong Buses that stop across the road (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) A, and (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) B (Green): Seoul Station (just one stop away) (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Green): Myeong-dong Station (4 stops away) (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Green): Myeong-dong (shopping area) and Lotte Department Store (3 stops away).
