RumpusRoom is a tiny guesthouse with a cozy, relaxing atmosphere where you can feel at home. It's a charming, comfy place to enjoy peaceful and restful nights. As a traveler and creative person I like to guide you through Belgian cultural identity in its widest form as I believe curiosity, sharing and connecting are key values to life. Therefore the guesthouse is kept small; 3 rooms, a living room and a kitchen available to use on appointement (between 8h & 21h30). A nice private double room with all you need provided; a good comfy double bed (French size), your own little desk and a relax chair. For your clothing and other belongings sliders, shelves and a clothing rack is present. Plus the room itself, as an extra, has its own washbasin and eventualy bathrobes for rent! The walls are nicely decorated with some fine (Belgian) art. You'll always be welcomed with some tasteful tea, coffee and water. The rooms are on the first floor, downstairs you can find the common areas. Feel free to share the living room and kitchen (on appointement between 8h & 21h30). And, if you need me, you can find me here too. I''ll be there as much as possible to help you out. A living room, dining room and the kitchen are free to use and share (8-21.30) on agreement. At night acces to the guesthouse is ensured by a code lock. I'm always available. I will mostly be home and if not you will always be able to contact me on my mobile phone. Located on the eastside of Central Station you can find the area of BORGERHOUT, a place where I now live for more than 10 years and which I really really love. Sharing the positive vibe of the district, its locals and all their wonderful initiatives is why I started my guesthouse right here, in the heart of 'BOHO' as we call it. The neighborhood is a mix of many different cultures, marked by a large Arabic population, so if you like North African/ Middle-East snackbars and shops, TURNHOUTSE BAAN is your place. Once you turn into one of the many smaller streets you will feel a creative and young atmosphere. As the neighborhood is up-and-coming you will discover lots of cozy squares with bars and restaurants, start-up and pop-up shops, DIY galleries and local entrepreneurs... A mix of local seniors, hipsters, young families, kids and some lucky tourist discovering this surprisingly other, personal and small-scaled side of Antwerp. The whole lively neighborhood of Borgerhout/Berchem is super easy to visit by foot because RumpusRoom is situated right in the middle of it. The city center and Antwerp central station is 15' by public transport or foot. Antwerp is also very close to Brussels (30'), Ghent (45'), Brugge (1h30'') by train/car. The airports are 10' (Antwerp), 30' (Brussels) and 1h45' (Brussels-south/Charleroi) away from the guesthouse. NOTE: Due to Covid-19 wearing a mask is obligated at public transport
