The Silversmiths Quarters - The McQueen

The McQueen is a one-bedroomed self catering, Listed Townhouse which has been newly refurbished to the highest standard to make your stay relaxing and memorable. Located in the historic coastal town of Banff, it has a fully equipped open plan lounge/kitchen downstairs with a beautifully decorated double bedroom upstairs together with a modern shower room. Many picturesque coastal villages and beaches are on your doorstep, making this a superb location to explore the Moray Firth coast. You enter the house directly from Bridge Street into the open plan lounge / kitchen / dining area. There is a double sofa bed in this room. The stairs lead up to the spacious shower room and double bedroom upstairs. Parking is available nearby at the Spotty Bag Car Park or in the public car park at the rear of Bridge Street, accessed from the main road. The McQueen is a Listed Building, situated on Bridge Street, Banff on the Moray Firth coast. Banff is a coastal, historic town full of Georgian Architecture and its own beach. Historic Environment Scotland's Duff House can be found in the town along with our local museum with its fabulous Banff Heritage Silver collection. There are many outdoor activities available in the area, ranging from surfing, boat trips, hiking, cycling and of course golf at Duff House Royal Golf Club. Our fabulous Silversmithing Centre, Vanilla Ink The Smiddy, is found at the bottom of Bridge Street and is definitely worth a visit. You can buy Scottish Designer unique jewellery & silverware there or come to one of our classes aimed at beginners to the more advanced participants... and create your own piece of Banff Silver. Currently Bridge Street is being resurfaced and a semi-pedestrianised area created. Works are expected to finish October 2021. Currently access into the building from Bridge Street is via a hardcore ramp with no vehicular access to the building. The footpath is uneven and not suitable for wheelchair users or pushchairs. Please be aware that you cannot unload belongings directly outside the building. Roadworks and associated noise/ inconvenience will be going on outside the building until October 2021.
