Brief historical notes: Gavorrano was a fiefdom of the Pannocchieschi family, of which Nello was the husband of the famous Pia Dei Tolomei ... "Siena... mi fè disfecemi maremma…” cit. Divine Comedy. There are historical representations of the story in the country in the month of August. The holidays you want to spend in our house will be accompanied by a typically medieval atmosphere, the walls are built with boulders, the ceilings are formed by "vaults" dating back to 1100. The position of the house offers not only the view of the Gulf of Follonica but also the suggestive Pozzo Roma of the old pyrite mine that you can visit with the specialized guide you will find on the spot. In the summer Gavorrano will offer you cheerful village festivals where you can taste the typical Maremma cuisine made of tortelli, wild boar, salami and many other very tasty things. You can easily arrive to the house by car and park under or nearby without paying. Also there is the bus service operating in the surrounding areas. There is also a toll parking in the town square. In the town there are the pharmacy, the supermarket Coop, bar, restaurants and bakery/ patisserie. All easily reached by foot. In the territory there are importants wine cellars (La Fertuna al Grilli e la Rocca di Frassinello a Giuncarico progettata da Renzo Piano) where it is possible to do guided tours. The area offers routes for cyclists and hikers. In addition there is also an important golf course "il Pelagone" which is 5 km far from the town.
