Situated in the hillside of Mapello near Bergamo, a medieval walled town, an hour from Milan, and the beautiful villages of Lake Iseo, Como, Garda and ski-resorts The refurbished property has been adapted with sustainable local materials, in keeping with the surrounding picturesque woodland, winding roads and eye-catching views of open countryside. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with both shower and bath and a balcony. There is a big indoor dining area with open fireplace, a state of the art country-kitchen, patio with dining area and a terrace with hot-tub and sun-lounges. Owner lives in the property with her partner. You will have your private room with ensuite bathroom and share the living room, garden and patio We are a sociable couple. Away from town, visitors will find an endless haven of picturesque countryside and a range of activities plus shopping - with fashion capital Milan easily accessible. Just north of Bergamo is Italy’s lake district, home of Iseo, Garda, Como and Maggiore. These narrow long lakes are of glacial origin and make a picturesque setting as blue waters meet lush green mountains. In winter, within an hour drive from the villa, you can reach several ski resorts, either in the Brembana's valley or Seriana's valley.
