Our house is a listed property of indeterminate age. (Presenting as late Georgian, but believed to be closer to 400 years old). It is situated at the upper edge of Crimsworth Dene, on the edge of the Moors, overlooking Hebden Bridge. Hebden is a five minute drive, and Howarth is ten. Manchester and leeds are both 45 mins by train from Hebden. We have renovated the house, and we think it is a lovely mixture of old and new. The garden is South facing with an amazing view. It's large enough for children to play in, with two seating areas with patio furniture. There are many beautiful walks on the doorstep, across the moorland and in Hardcastle Craggs, a National Trust park. Cycling, on and off road, is very popular. There are horse riding opportunities nearby. Hebden Bridge is a particularly fascinating town, having won awards for its abundance of small independent shops. Entertainment here includes a 'vintage' cinema, a 'mini theatre', a 'live music venue' (trades club) and art galleries. You will be able to access the whole of the house: kitchen-dining room, dining room, two sitting rooms, three double bedrooms, one with en-suite, one single bedroom and a family bathroom. You will also be able to access the back garden, and park your cars on the yard in front of the house. You will also be able to use the laundry equipment, large ‘smart’ TV, and use the WiFi. We will either be able to welcome you ourselves or will arrange for you to be welcomed. We will also be available by telephone and will be able to arrange any help if this is needed. We are located in a small hill-side village, on a farm, not too far from the main road to Howarth. It is very quiet, surrounded by fields and very light as we are on the 'tops'. Our neighbours have ponies and chickens. The countryside is stunning. Lots of bird-life, and deer in the woods of Hardcastle Crags. There are good transport links, hourly buses to Halifax and Keighley, more frequently to Hebden. There are frequent trains from Hebden to Manchester, York, Blackpool and Leeds. There will be room for one car in front of the house. It is also possible to park on the main road at the top of the lane, if you have more than one car. Use of the ‘Bluthner’ grand piano is by separate negotiation.
