The outstanding and extensive breakfast made for you by chef Roy is optional for €12,- per person per day. Diner can be made for you as well The entrance of the house can be reached by a stair. You'll first see the lovely terrace (shared) that you can use. After entrancing you'll find the dining area / breakfast area and common area. Roy will make you a outstanding breakfast (€12 per person per day) and on request he can cook you a fabulous diner as well, the house had a professional restaurant kitchen. If you like he can also give you cookings lessons. Your room is situated on the first floor. It has a double bed, windows with fly screens and blinding shutters and it has an ensuite bathroom with toilet / shower / sink. Casa Marchi is situated in the Garfagnana in the Apuan Alps. Bagni di Lucca is the closest town with restaurants and shops and it has a large thermal swiming pool. Bagni di Lucca also is the largest mountain comune in Italy, consisting of 22 neighbouring villages. A car is essential to reach us, our house is in Gombereto, about 5 km above Bagni di Lucca. the road to the house is a mountain road but all asphalted and easy to navigate. The area has outstanding outdoor activities such as hiking, ziplining, paddle boarding, quad biking, climbing and canyoning. Guests can use the common area, the dining room, terrace and of course their private room. Away from the frenzy of Florence and the coast but close enough to spend the day out and return to peace and quiet. Casa Marchi is situated in the hills above Bagni di Lucca, a historical spa town. On the borders of a large natural reserve. Great for hiking, bird watching, cycling both on road and mountain tracks, adventure park, kayaking, horse riding, paragliding and quad biking is all within the area. Bagni di Lucca has restaurants, supermarkets and small shops. On the other hand your are still close to the cultural side of things. Lucca (45 min) Pisa (60 min) and Florence (80 min) are all within driving distance and perfect for a day trip. A car would be necessary - Public transport is minimal in the mountains, we have a bus infrequently through the day - Bagni di Lucca train station is approx. 6 km and can link to the coast, Florence, Pisa, Lucca, the upper car park is 20 metres from Casa Marchi, the lower car park 70 metres. A car is essential to reach us. A train station is 6 km from the house if you want to make day trips.
