Green Way, "Etna Sole" stunning sea view room

Located at the base of Mount Etna, Europe's highest active volcano, the property is found along a green pathway extending between the coastline and the geological formations of the basalt pillow hill. Once the train station of Aci Castello, the property has been converted to a charming villa with a luxery green garden. The breathtaking view of the town and Cyclops coastline can be enjoy from the garden equipped with tables and chairs, a perfect place to relax and soak in the mediterranean sun! As mentioned in the brief initial description, my property was developed from an old train line and toll station, which after many years has become a beautiful green pathway filled with Mediterranean and tropical plants, including a large vivarium of Aloe Vera. At the end of the pathway is a 1000 square meter tunnel (the old train tunnel) made of lava stone, where I used to make a seasonal production of mushrooms. As a consequence the place offers the oppotunity to wander and explore nature and enjoy total relaxation admiring the view in complete tranquility. The room is very comfortable with a gorgeous sea view. In the surrounding area guests can relax in an atmosphere of pure serenity and calmness. Guests can also enjoy a pizza in the new pizzeria opened just next door and play tennis in the nearby tennis courts. Besides the rooms and the fully equipped kitchen inside, guests can also access the green pathway extending from the entrance to the tunnel. Along the green pathway guests may have access to the orchards, a plant nursery, the aloe vera vivarium, and a large open air with tables and chairs. I am always available for any problem that my guests might have (hopefully none!) and I am happy to give you any advice you may need regarding the best restaurants, shops, where to buy good fish, walks etc. Usually I also host one or two volunteers who help me with the maintenance of the place and assist with guests, I also have friends who come for dinner or to spend some time in this peaceful place, so guests will be also able to enjoy interaction with local people as well as people from other countries. I used to work as a professional cook and I still love cooking. In my Green Way I enjoy having lunch or dinner together with my guests and sharing with them the food I prepare. I can invite guests for lunch or dinner and in this case I would very much appreciate a contribution for the grocery shopping. Aci Castello is a peaceful old fishing village with is located just a 3 min walk away. Here you can find everything you need, shops, a beautiful square and also the historic Norman Castle. Alternatively, Aci Trezza, a larger town can be found just a 15 minute walk away. I live in one of the most beautiful areas in Sicily and you do not need to walk far to find stunning views and beautiful scenery. Besides the nice historical center with the castle on the sea, the town also offers a long lava rock cliffs coastline on clear and transparent waters. In town you can also find bars, ice cream bars, and a supermarket. Aci Castello (where I live) and Aci Trezza (15 min walk) are two beautiful towns by the sea, one next to each other, with plenty of bars, restaurants and beaches. 10 mins away by car and you can get to the main city, Catania, full of history and traditions. The city night life it is also pretty amazing. There is no need to walk much to reach the historical center of Aci Castello (3 minutes) or Aci Trezza (15 minutes). By car Catania can be reached easily (10 minutes), and the bus stop (AMT bus 534) is just at 150 meters from the building. In the surroundings it is possible to visit the old fishermen village of Aci Trezza, with the beautiful Lachea island, and the huge rocks called Cyclops, rising from the sea. From here it is also possible to start one day excursions on Etna. On request, guests can rent bikes to explore the beautiful coastline from Catania to Acireale, which offers panoramic roads and picturesque settlements. Next to my property, just down the stairs, there is a sport facility with three tennis courts and two beach volley courts. Also, a new pizzeria just opened next door. The area (Aci Castello and Aci Trezza) is the place where the formation of of Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. As a consequence, from the geological point of view it this is a place of scientific remarkable interest. Inside my property guests may enjoy a geological tour and admire the unique volcanic columns, also called basalt pillows, that have formed on the nearby hill.
