Charming 2 bedroom top floor apartment in exclusive Kirribilli just a few minutes from centre Sydney easily accessible by foot, ferry and train. By far the best location to stay when visiting Sydney. Relax on your own private balcony soaking up the splendour of Sydney harbour. Guaranteed to take your breath away! Prepare for a unique VIP experience with photo opportunity to prove it. Please note we use hotel quality linen and professional cleaners. The reviews speak for themselves - no need to look any further when looking for somewhere to stay in Sydney. #bestairbnbsydney We are happy to welcome up to 4 adults and 1 child maximum of 5 guests. This is the best apartment in Sydney so stop looking at other listings to make your decision! Only joking you can look at others but please come back and book ours :) Many units in Kirribilli have views if you want to stand with your nose to the window all day but balconies like ours where you can sit and enjoy the vista are very hard to find and are not even available at the best 5 star Sydney hotels with their exorbitant prices. Trust me you will find it hard to remove yourself from the balcony ! This multi $m 2 bedroom apartment is on the 3rd floor/top level (no lift) of a boutique (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) s building of only 8 apartments. Boasting sensational Sydney harbour views - all yours to enjoy for the length your stay ! Walk through- upon entering you walk past both bedrooms, the bathroom and laundry. As you walk down the hallway with anticipated excitement to be greeted by a luxurious living room and kitchen which opens out through large glass doors to a private balcony with a view that you will find hard to drag yourself away from! Balcony - pictures really don’t do the view justice. We have ‘out of this world’ views of Sydney Harbour, especially the Sydney Harbour Bridge. We have some relaxing lounge chairs out there for you to enjoy maybe with a nice bottle of world renowned Australian Shiraz from the local bottle shop. Living Room - just inside of the balcony we have a comfy sofa and TV along with a disturbingly comfortable reading chair with a floor lamp for those who choose to take the more responsible option. Bedrooms - there are two bedrooms that each have a queen bed with comfy and luxurious linen, pillows and cushions. The bedrooms both also have built in wardrobes filled with hangers for those of you staying longer. When booking please confirm the number of guests. If you book for 2 guests you will have use of the main bedroom. If you would like use of the second bedroom for 2 guests please book for 3 to trigger the second bedroom - a linen fee will apply. Kitchen - we have a fully stocked kitchen with all the appliances you will ever need. Bathroom - our bathroom is complete with a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, towels and lovely products to enjoy during your stay. Laundry - we fitted this out with a new washing machine and dryer. There is also a small clothes drying rack for those of you that prefer natural drying (to save the environment) along with an iron and ironing board. The apartment will be all yours for the length of your stay including your own bathroom, laundry, kitchen and private balcony - by far the best and rarest feature of this beautiful apartment. It’s located on the top level (three levels above street) and there is no lift. Street parking is free (no meters) but please bear in mind you are in an inner city location and it’s limited to 2 hours through the day and unlimited overnight. I don't live on the premises but I'm very close by so you will be able to ask me all those burning questions. Happy to talk you through your plans and see if I can give you any recommendations and secret local tips. If I'm not available to meet you on the day you arrive I'm happy to chat over the phone. Sydney Harbour/Sydney Harbour Bridge - just look at it, it’s amazing! Kirribilli Village is where the locals hang out - full of great places to eat and drink. Don't miss the local markets in the village if you are lucky enough to visit on the weekends they are on. More details/times can be found at - (Website hidden by Airbnb) Sydney City - it is a 2 km /30 min walk over the bridge to the city. Yes none other than the Sydney Harbour Bridge !! It's a must do and a very easy leisurely walk. If it’s any sort of encouragement there is a pub at the base of the bridge on the Kirribilli side and the base of the bridge on the city side so just consider it a long walk between beers. One of the nice things about the walk is that it lands you in The Rocks (where it all began) where the convicts landed in the (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) s. Amble along on cobbled laneways, enjoy a cool drink in Australia’s oldest pubs, and marvel at iconic attractions like Circular Quay and none other than the Sydney Opera House. There is also markets there every weekend which are really fun and sell souveneirs and all the great market foods like corn on the cob, homemade pies and baked goods. If that isn’t enough there is also a great French patisserie worth visiting called La Renaissance Patisserie Cafe that makes amazing vanilla slice and always has a line out the door. Fireworks - we have to be the firework capital of the world because there seems to be fireworks on every other day. We don’t even look anymore as they happen so often. If you’re trying to plan your trip around this, check out @FireworksSydney on (Hidden by Airbnb) as they are the only way I have managed to keep up with the unpredictable timetable. Cruise ships - this sounds unusual but every time a cruise ship comes into Sydney Harbour you will have front row seats. It is a sight not to be missed -especially because the liners turn right in front of us - they get so close sometimes you feel like they are going to hit the shore. I have heard many of Hawaiian style send-off party tunes with the ships’ MC’s yelling “are we ready to have a good time.” I have also waved to many of friends from the balconies of ships who I swear I could have possibly spoken to if I had a megaphone handy. If you’re keen to see this please check out the boat schedule online at the portauthoritynsw website for anything berthing at the Overseas Passenger Terminal or White Bay (passing through). Restaurants/Cafes/Nightlife - there are lots of little local gems around our suburb, some worth noting in the main stretch of shops are; Morgan’s , Kirribilli Woodfire Kitchen for pizza, Stir Crazy for Thai and Kirribilli Seafood for fish and chips. Also, there is hidden gem situated on Kirribilli Wharf called Celsius Coffee Co. cafe that does an amazing breakfast with a quite unique experience as you are very much on the wharf, just make sure you get there early unless you’re happy to wait for a table (there isn’t much space on a wharf). Kirribilli House (Australian White House) - is only a 500m walk away which may seem very underwhelming from the outside but if you can find a way to break in the view they get from inside is amazing (I went there on an Open Day once and it blew my mind, if you don’t believe me (Hidden by Airbnb) it). Don’t try anything too crazy though because the security may seem non-existent but trust me there are cars full of Australian Federal Police watching your every move. Luna Park - this one is mainly for the kiddies. It is Sydney’s oldest amusement park about an 800m walk away. Your trip wouldn’t really be complete without a photo in front of the massive face with the mouth wide open that you have to walk through to enter the park. Just note that everything is a little expensive so you may need to tell your kiddies a couple fibs about rides “undergoing maintenance” so they don’t bleed you dry. These are only a couple local suggestions I have for you but please feel free to ask me more questions when you arrive and will be happy to help you plan your activities :) Driving/Parking - street parking is available but please bear in mind you are in an inner city location and it’s limited. Parking is generally restricted to 2 hours until the evening hours where there is no restriction until morning. I lived here for years without a permit with no issues but it’s best to leave your car at home and enjoy the Sydney harbour ferries during your stay. Uber/Taxify/Ola/Shebah - ride sharing is approximately $15 into the city and $12 back (you can blame the Harbour Bridge toll for the discrepancy). Airport cost is approximately $40 to and from. If you see any discrepancies with these figures when travelling please check that the app you’re using isn’t surging. Train - this should be your obvious first choice as the train is by far the best and quickest form of transport in this city. Milsons Point (MP) station is only an 8 min walk away. The average train ticket from MP to any other station is usually between $2 and $5 depending on how far you go. The Airport Train requires you to change at Central Station (3 stops away) and costs a total of $17. So probably best to get an Uber if there is 3 or more of you. Ferry - this is by far the most enjoyable form of getting around from the apartment. There are three wharves at your disposal; Kirribilli - 300m away, Jeffrey Street - 500m away and Milsons Point - 800m away (in front of Luna Park). The Kirribilli wharf will get you to Circular Quay, the Jeffrey Street Wharf will get you to Manly and most of the city stops and the Milsons Point Wharf will put you on the city loop including; Darling Harbour, Barangaroo, Circular Quay, Star Casino (Pyrmont). The ferry is a more expensive than the train at approximately $6 a trip but it is worth every cent. It’s an inexpensive way to get on a Sydney Harbour cruise without paying the crazy tourist prices. Buses - don’t really have much to say about buses as they are close to useless in this suburb. Biking - you can happily bike around our suburb and if you are a bike enthusiast, you can even ride over the Harbour Bride as the western side of the bridge is dedicated to bikes only. Walking - there is no shortage of long and short “free unguided walking tours” in Kirribilli. Along with all the places I mentioned above (which are all within walking distance) you can take a walk around our suburb and explore all that Sydney has to showcase as you turn every corner. It is approximately a 2km walk to the city over the Harbour Bridge which will give you an amazing view of the harbour including the Opera House and the Sydney city with plenty of vantage points for amazing photos along the way. When booking please confirm the number of guests. If you book for 2 guests you will have use of the main bedroom. If you would like use of the second bedroom for 2 guests please book for 3 to trigger the second bedroom a linen fee will apply. NYE is the most requested night of the year. Please note that strict cancellation policy applies. Please contact us before you book so we can discuss your plans for NYE. Early check in - most of our guests arrive on early morning international flights and we receive constant requests for early check in which unfortunately we can’t accommodate until the middle of the day at the earliest. We apologise but we are very heavily booked and departing guests generally don’t check out until late morning. The only way to guarantee the apartment is available to you on arrival is to book the night before your arrival.
