The Bed and Breakfast "The Tiber Valley" is overlooking a pretty square in the historical center of the village of Torrita Tiberina. A small church makes the square very impressive. Silence and tranquility allow the guest to stay away from the chaos of the city and everyday life. Therefore, it is particularly suitable for a romantic getaway or for the people who want a break from work. The proximity to the Natural Reserve Tiber-Farfa makes it suitable for families and above all for children who can enjoy a boat trip on the Tiber. Turning around the historical center on foot, you will be impressed by the striking and "suspended in time" atmosphere. The village ascends on a hill on top of which the Baron Palace faces the main square. From the balcony you can admire a extraordinary landscape of Sabina. The best way to move around the Roman countryside and nearby Sabina is by car. Both Rome and Rieti can be reached in less than an hour along the ancient "Via Salaria". The medieval villages of Sabina such as Casperia, Fara in Sabina, Palombara Sabina, Roccantica, Poggio catino, Poggio Mirteto, Greccio, Torri in Sabina and many others can be reached within 30-40 minutes. In an hour you reach Tivoli and, in just 30 minutes the famous Farfa Abbey. Sabina is rich in others worship places such as abbeys, shrines, hemis and it is perched on the "Via Francigena". For people who love the mountain you can go hiking on the Sabini mountains or on the Terminillo mountain, 40 km away from Torrita Tiberina. You can also visit Sabina by bus. "Cotral" bus line makes stops in every village (more informations on Cotral website). Buses depart from Poggio Mirteto train station where the trains arrive directly from Fiumicino Airport and Rome Tiburtina station. Farmhouses, restaurants, dairies, bakeries are numerous on the territory and rich in local products. It is advisable to visit the Oil of Sabina Museum in Castelnuovo di Farfa, reachable in just 25 minutes. For fans of good food it is also advisable to inquire about the various village festivals that characterize the territory to discover the flavors of a time. We would like to say that, due to the Coronavirus, we are doing everything possible to protect our guests disinfecting, with particular care, the surfaces most frequently touched (switches, knobs, handles, remote controls and so on) before each check-in. Furthermore, in order to protect everyone's health, we are adopting the self check-in system and promoting social distancing in the common areas. Breakfast will no longer be a buffet but served by the staff on the terrace, guaranteeing the safety distance between the tables, or directly in the bedroom.
