Milly Moll is situated right next door to the museum and next to the entrance to beautiful Church Ope Cove. A visit to the fantastic climbing cliffs found down this road is also a must. The ruins of St Andrews church and Rufus Castle are within minutes walk, as is the centre of Easton with the small square gardens and various shops including a Tesco store. Wakeham is a conservation area and has the feel of times gone by as you relax on our bench in the evening sun. Portland Bill is just 5 minutes around the coast, with the working lighthouse and the beautiful coastline views. Don’t forget to look out for the seals and dolphins which can be seen regularly around our shores along with the huge range of birds that visit here. Take a walk in one of the disused quarries to see a fabulous selection of butterflies and plants and particularly visit Tout Quarry as this is also a stone sculpture park. A public bus service runs from Easton Square about every 20 minutes to and from nearby Weymouth. During the summer the tourist open top double decker bus runs round the Island and to the Bill as well as a service into Weymouth. The bus stop for this is about 4 doors up from Milly Moll Cottage. There are numerous coastal walks, disused quarries (now conservation areas or sculpture parks) to explore and you could also take advantage of the various water sports such as windsurfing, kite surfing, kayaking and paddle boarding in Portland harbour. Visit Portland Castle (one of Henry VIIIs fortifications), the fossil forest and the High angle batteries. There are, of course, the cliffs just around the corner which are very popular attracting climbers from all over the UK and the fantastic Portland museum right next door. The parking is either found on the road or in the free public car park just across the road. Milly Moll Cottage has an attic room with twin beds but it is definitely not suitable for children under 7 years as the stairs descend straight from the room itself and they are very steep and narrow.
