Bed, Bath, Balcony and Beyond

Newly renovated and expanded upstairs flat in historic farm house. Fully-equipped kitchen (in large, open-plan room), huge balcony, and 2 bedrooms. Utility room and nice modern bathroom, with tub and walk-in shower. Access to a private lake. Fast wifi. Central to lots of attractions in East Switzerland. We recently converted our old barn into a modern, insulated, energy efficient apartment. Potter around the extremely large rooms, drink a tea on the spacious balcony, and enjoy the sights and sounds of rural Switzerland. You have access to the upper part of the barn (see the photos). There's a very large kitchen/diner/living room that leads onto the balcony. 2 large bedrooms (one furnished with kids in mind) with comfy mattresses. The bathroom has a great walk-in shower and there's a utility room with a washing machine and dryer. We live in a hamlet (smaller than a village!) in an agricultural area of East Switzerland. Horses, cows, sheep, chickens, yellow and green flags. Tractors, hay bales, drivers who put their names on a license plate and stick it in their car window. That kind of thing. The environment is lush and dotted with apple trees. Good evening skies. It's a 10-minute walk to the local train station, where there are connections to Weinfelden, Fraunfeld, and Zurich. It's a 20-minute drive to Constance (and its beautiful lake), 35 to Zurich or St. Gallen. Shops are in Wigoltingen, Müllheim or Frauenfeld - less than 10mins drive. Andrew works from home at strange hours so quiet is very important to him. For the safety of you and the horses, the stable shouldn't be entered unaccompanied.
