The Snug at Mill Barn - rural retreat

Tucked away in a peaceful location, this new open plan conversion was finished in September 2019. Completed to a high standard, this cosy space provides an idyllic hideaway. Stockland and Steart Marshes can be accessed immediately opposite the Snug and the coast is five minutes drive away. Ideal for country walks, cycling and bird watching. A selection of walks to explore are provided by the owners. Ample parking and use of owners tranquil garden for relaxation. Perfect escape for couples. The snug has an open plan layout with fully equipped kitchen, TV with Netflix and internet. Complimentary tea coffee milk and basics for breakfast are provided plus shampoo and shower gels. We provide a cigarette waste bin outside if needed . Opposite the Snug is a Shepherds hut that can also be booked if you want to travel with friends. Self contained apartment with use of private front garden. There are table and chairs for your use which can be placed any where in the garden . We do have other guests using this space so we do ask that their privacy and need for peace and quiet is respected . The Snug is attached to the owners 19th century barn and will be contactable if any need arises. This area boasts one of the UK's largest new wetland reserves, providing habitat for a mix of wetland wildlife, including otters, wilfowl, owls and waders, migrating birds are an attraction and varied wildlife including dear can often be spotted. Steart Marsh Reserve provides numerous bird hides and excellent cycle and footpaths that are on the flat and easily accessible with car park and public toilets free of charge. Visitors will need to have their own transport for this location, but can bring their bikes which can be locked away securely in owners garage. We understand concerns at the moment for safety and protection against contracting the Coronavirus. At Mill barn you will be isolated from any contact with others as The Snug is completely self contained. Cleanliness has always been our highest priority and we continue with this making sure all surfaces are cleaned and disinfected between every stay.
