Tenuta Al Todesc'

The estate "al Todesc" located in the municipality of Maggia in the area called "Todesc", not far from Locarno-Ascona, extends for 4,000 m2. The residence designed and built in the mid-700s, had its first renovation in 1972. In 2015, the total renovation of the residence began, strictly following the techniques and materials used at the time of construction. Slightly elevated at street level, with access via the stairs of the entrance square, the pergola with the typical "carasc" and poles in chestnut wood covered with vines that provide shade on the stone table even in the hottest hours of the day. This is an ideal place to barbecue and enjoy the tranquility of the chestnut woods and the view of the adjacent valley Valle di Lodano, which is one of the official candidates for UNESCO World Heritage Site. The entrance door leads to the light-filled kitchen with a window overlooking the property. It is equipped with a 154l refrigerator and a 15l freezer, oven and hob with 5 gas burners, dishwasher, capsule coffee machine. The gas cylinders stored in the outer wall ensure all the basic supplies. The light-filled living area is located just behind the kitchen, a 2-meter table with 6 chairs, a pellet stove that heats the whole house on cold days, sofa and satellite TV invite guests to relax. To reach the toilet it is necessary to open a sliding door, the toilets are equipped with a sink consisting of a block of stone, as well as a cabinet, toilet and shower. The bedroom in the attic overlooking the living room is equipped with a double bed (180x200), two bedside tables and a chest of 6 drawers for orderly storage of clothes. The room is nice and bright and a window overlooking the whole property provides daylight. The room on the first floor is furnished with a double bed (160x200), two bedside tables made of small wooden trunks, a large closet with 4 doors, in front of the bed a sliding window overlooking the entrance square. The middle room, also on the first floor, is equipped with a double bed (140x200), a bedside table and a closet, a large sliding window in front of the bed floods the house with natural light during the day. The building is surrounded by tranquility and from the silence to make a boundary there are chestnut trees, a fruit plant of vital importance for the region as a base. The house can be reached by car, free parking is available. From the Maggia bus stop approx. 1.8 km from the Lodano stop ca. 1.5 km On request, CHF 15 per person, towels, dish towels, bed linen will be available at home.
