Just 150 m from the historical Harmans Cross steam railway station and newly equipped children's play area. Perfect for families, cyclists and walkers. Purbeck has two ridges. We are situated in the valley between them. The inner ridge gives panoramic views of Poole Harbour, Corfe Castle and Swanage Bay while the outer ridge boasts breathtaking views of the Jurassic Coast. The Bunk House is furbished with oak flooring throughout, exposed roof rafters and walk-in shower. Smoke alarm. We provide tea and coffee. Please let us know if you would like bread, butter and jam. We have an outdoor sink for washing crockery and a small bar be que - please bring your own charcoal. Guests have their own garden space with seating. We have a good local knowledge of places to eat and drink and can direct guests to lots of varied walks and places of interest. This area is semi-rural, safe and quiet. 40 min walk or 10min drive to the quaint village of Worth Matravers is the award-winning pub The Square and Compass famous for its top quality live music, homemade pasties ,cider and ales. We are close to the bus route and the historic steam railway serving Swanage and the main line at Wareham. Parking is on our drive or at a free carpark 100m away. We have a collie kelpie called Betty. She is very friendly. Please do not throw sticks for her. They are dangerous and can get wedged in her mouth.
