Springbrook- Coolgarra Bush House Canyon Lookout

Coolgarra Bush House is tranquility personified. This hand built recycled timber chalet is relaxed and unpretentious oozing character and warmth, tucked away within world heritage listed rainforest with just a stones throw to incredible walking tracks. A stylish, comfortable home with rustic and vintage decor sympathetic to the natural surrounds, this unique property features large windows bringing the outside in and a stunning stone fire place to keep you toasty on chilly Springbrook evenings. Coolgarra has two bedrooms downstairs- one with a queen bed and own covered decking area with the other twin room hosting two single beds. The generous upstairs loft area has a queen bed plus seperate sitting area to enjoy a game of chess or for reading. There is a spacious lounge area with stone fireplace for relaxing with a glass of red, a dining table for six, a well-equipped kitchen with water filter, large fridge, bathroom with shower and toilet. We rely solely on rain to fill our tank so do request shorter showers and to use only the provided toilet paper due to the septic system. Please note the washing machine is purely for emergency use and is not attached to a filtration system hence water will be discoloured. We take all linens and towels off site to launder. French doors open out onto decks three sides with the main deck including a BBQ and outdoor table setting for your enjoyment. The king parrots that love to say hello should be fed the provided seed only as to not upset their delicate microflora. We are positioned in a fairly secluded area however, do have neighbours we like to remain friends with- voices carry hence no parties loud music or gatherings. Please feel free to bring along your own board games etc as at this stage we do not provide any due to keeping up with pieces going missing etc. We do however have a TV with old school dvds plus Apple TV and Netflix. Access is via a private track suitable for most vehicles, with some tight access through trees. There is parking for three vehicles maximum. Local walks and cafe within walking distance however, you may need to use your car to travel to other hiking circuits and cafes further down the mountain. We live off the mountain on the Gold Coast but are available via mobile Extremely peaceful location being only 600m from Canyon Lookout where you'll find incredible walks and waterfalls along both the Twin Falls and Warrie Circuits. Explore ancient species of plants and animals amongst this World Heritage listed national park full of biodiversity including the protected Blue spiny crayfish, frogs, eels, pademelons and potoroos, bowerbirds and the eastern yellow robin to name a few. Explore Goomoolahra Falls, Best of All Lookout and the Purling Brook Falls Circuit with either a packed lunch or eating at one of five local cafes The Sitting Room (Canyon Lookout), Dancing Waters Cafe, Springbrook Cafe or The Lost Fawn. Grab a coffee, ice-cream or some fudge from The Fudge Shop and check out the various roadside stalls. Please note the cafes have various trading hours. There is no public transport on the mountain so your own car is essential. Beds are made prior to arrival and guest towels are provided. We prefer you use the old towels found in bathroom vanity for any mishaps, rainy days, drying off outdoor table etc. Please do not use guest towels for makeup removal. Blankets and electric blankets (in winter) supplied. 2 night minimum stay only Please read amenities list thoroughly. Please do not ask about bringing your pets- we know you hate leaving them behind but we insist you leave them with a suitable carer. Coolgarra is a non smoking house both inside and out- please adhere to this rule for the health and safety of others coming into the space after you plus the protection of our native wildlife.
