The Excelsior private apartment is ideally located on the 10th floor of the impressive Malmaison hotel building within the stylish Princes Dock Waterfront. Via the floor to ceiling windows in all bedrooms and lounge areas you are treated to stunning views over the iconic Royal Liver Buildings, River Mersey, Pier Head and the City. Guests have the option to use the recently installed 'Air Conditioning' if required when home. For additional comfort & convenience there are Electric/Auto ceiling to floor blinds to keep the Apartment even cooler when you are 'in OR out', particularly useful during the Summer months. From the comfort of your living room, relax and enjoy the tranquil environment and unique scenery. You may also be fortunate enough to see the canal boats slowly pass through the Leeds-Liverpool canal link or witness some of the world’s biggest visiting cruise ships and navy vessels as they dock right below your window. Not forgetting a bird’s eye view of the famous Mersey ferries. Princes Dock was built 1810-21 and named after the Prince Regent, later George IV. On the ground floor is the Mal Bar and Malmaison Brasserie. Other choices within just a few minute walk include Cargo, Plaza Lounge Bar, Bean Coffee, Matou Pan-Asian restaurant, or perhaps ‘Ma Boyles’ behind St.Nicholas's church and just across the road - for that classic pub experience. If the ultimate ‘Liverpool One’ shopping adventure has left you in need of refreshment, it is but a pleasant stroll back to your apartment via the historic ‘Albert Dock’ where you'll find museums, art galleries plus a large array of venues to eat, drink, dance and be merry, amid the lofty colonnades of this architectural splendour - the country's largest group of Grade I listed buildings. From culture and comedy to Beatles, boats, galleries and gigs, it's the place for food, fun, family and friends. Next to here are the highly acclaimed ‘Echo Arena’ and ‘Convention Centre’ venues, hosting international business events and music concerts. From the nightly vibrant, atmospheric and friendly bars and clubs of Mathew Street and Concert Square to the numerous other activities, including guided tours, theatre, musical, sporting and cultural destinations etc, there really is something for everyone in Liverpool - not only at weekends but throughout the week and all year round !
