Sandstone guest room plus meals

Windmill is a small organic farm located in the beautiful Capertee Valley - an area noted for birdwatching. Our house is made of local sandstone, surrounded by bush, with views of the escarpment. The guest room opens into a flower filled courtyard. Because there are no shops within half an hour's drive, we are including 3 meals - breakfast lunch and dinner in the price. The food is produced on our farm and you will be sharing meals with the family. The $50 per extra person includes children, no matter what age! Guests can access the bedroom, bathroom, toilet, kitchen, lounge room, courtyard, and, sometimes, the spa. The pizza oven and sauna are available for guests who book for more than 3 days, or by special arrangement. There is 100 acres for bushwalking. We are available to help guests and advise them on activities of interest in the local area Glen Davis is known for bird watching, bush walking and the ruins of the old Shale Oil Refinery that produced petrol during the war. Further afield is Rylstone which has some lovely cafes, and the Mudgee wineries. Visitors need a car as we are half an hours drive from Capertee which is the nearest bus/rail link. There are tours of the Glen Davis Shale Oil Works every Sat at 2pm. They take approx 2 hrs and cost $20pp. Private tours cost $150 and are sometimes available by arrangement.
