Yr Hen Stabl is a beautifully converted stone stable offering a comfortable, light filled open interior furnished with antiques and traditional Welsh tapestry throws. A lovingly converted stone stable, combining rustic style with comfort and contemporary living. The traditional stone and slate exterior houses a spacious open-plan interior space, tastefully furnished with antiques and artworks. Designed to make the most of natural light the cottage is light and airy throughout and the newly added conservatory provides a comfortable, sunny space in which to quietly read or work. The pretty exterior patio area is enclosed by a walled garden offering privacy and a secure area for pets and parking. Yr Hen Stabl (The Old Stable) is within a stone’s throw of the waterfalls at Pontneddfechan and offers easy access to the Brecon Beacons and Gower coast. Parking is within a private walled garden. There is a key safe for guests to let themselves in on arrival but I enjoy meeting my visitors and will usually bring along a plate of my homemade Welshcakes. The cottage is in a semi-rural location near to the ex-coal mining village of Glynneath with its traditional terraced streets and chapels.
