Not far from the tiny 'city' of St Asaph is our little village with its tiny school and ancient church. The outlook into the Vale of Clwyd is stunning and from this property you will have those gorgeous rural views, a flash of the coastline and the snowy peak of Snowdon. No wonder this is officially 'An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. Our visitors are often entranced as they drive through the main gates and see the outlook for the first time! Best of all we are just 2.4 miles from the A55 so access to all that Denbighshire and North Wales has to offer is easily accessible, whether it be the mountains of Snowdonia National Park, the wild coastline, adrenaline activities like Zip World/Surf Snowdonia, great castles or the ancient walled City of Chester. Parking is provided on site behind locked gates for one car. North Wales is served well by the UK train network. If travelling by rail there are several possible destination stations. If you let us know your arrival time we can arrange for a taxi to collect you from the station. To ensure best quality, only firewood sold by us may be used for the hot tub. A load costs approx £15 and will give you an evenings heavenly soaking in the tub. We include kindling, firelighters and delicious teatree essential oil too! There is a one off tub usage charge of £5 for your whole stay. There is a one off BBQ usage charge of £5 for your whole stay. Wood for the firepit/log burner (with marshmallows & toasting sticks!) is £10 per basket. Smoking permitted, but only in the outside courtyard. If guests breach this rule and smoke within the accommodation (or close to doors/windows, thereby allowing smoke to pass into the accommodation) then the stay may be terminated immediately and a £100 deodorising fee will be charged; by proceeding with the booking the guest agrees to this condition. We are animal lovers but unfortunately cannot accept pets (please do not ask for an exception, as a refusal may offend) NB: As you might imagine, some IMPORTANT CHANGES have to occur, because COVID-19 remains prevalent in the UK. Firstly, because Cae Gwyn is our family home, we have to consider the increased exposure to our family. In this regard, we are requesting guests to bring their own bed linen & towels: • King sheets x1 • King duvet cover x1 • pillowcases x4 • towels suitable for hot tub/beach trips We will supply a duvet inner and (COVID appropriate) liner & comfy pillows x4. Secondly, we will be meeting new industry cleaning protocols to ensure you feel safe coming to a new environment. We will supply hand sanitiser, antibacterial spray and wipes for your use during your stay. Rubbish bins & bags are provided and guests are required to take rubbish with them as they check-out. Thirdly, there will be an optional no-contact check-in. Please note because of the extra requirements, earliest check in will be 4pm & a slightly earlier check-out time of 9am (check-out may be flexible depending on bookings). We trust, in the current circumstances, you understand these changes, and we include a complimentary bottle of Prosecco-on-ice in recognition of this.
