The Balgowlah Heights peninsula lies north of and faces the single entrance known as the Sydney Heads (North Head and South Head) to Port Jackson and is surrounded on three sides by two of the harbours of the Port - the short North Harbour to its east and Middle Harbour to its south and west. The third and longest Sydney Harbour extends west from the Heads. The Balgowlah Heights peninsula offers spectacular vista of views of the harbour from Manly to the city skyline. The 7 km peninsula foreshore is part of the Sydney Harbour National Park featuring scenic nature walks, secluded beaches and coves, parks and reserves. North Head's historical features include the Quarantine Station and the Sanctuary. Situated only a short stroll from North Harbour and Manly which offers a selection of excellent local Cafés restaurants with diverse cuisines. Public transport (BUS) is located within walking distance which can take you to access the Manly Ferry to the City or directly to Manly and other areas, plus there is a local free bus to Manly and local shopping. The local shopping centre is within walking distance or short ride by bus or 3 minute drive in your car with ample parking. The shopping centre provides excellence choice of shops from local supermarket, restaurants to browsing for a special gift. Public transport is within walking distance. several buses are available to the City (Sydney) or to Manly and surrounding area. there is also a free bus service to Manly and local shops.
