Villa on the hill

Villa on the hill is a secluded old style house sitting on the side of a hill, on private land, surrounded by chestnut woodlands with breathtaking views, overlooking the valleys below. Villa on the hill is an old style country cottage reached by a steep driveway, set in over 3000m plot, set mainly in gardens, vegetables plot, fruit trees and woodlands. It is close to Valmontone’s famous fashion outlet and the Rainbow Magic-land theme park. Also close by is a large open air public swimming pool. Situated 30 minutes from Rome and a 40 minute drive to our beautiful, sandy, hot beaches. The ground floor has been converted into a self contained flat, with newly fitted kitchen / dining room with an open fire, gas central heating, double sofa bed, double bedroom and bathroom with shower. I live on site on the first floor which is reached by an external staircase, I am always at hand available for my guests Our nearest neighbours, who are approx 100meters away, are overlooked by us and are very Italian!!! Friendly and very helpful. Artena is an historical market town steeped in history with its own museum, easily reached by foot or 5 minutes by car. The host (myself) will be at hand for any info, after all I was born in Artena ! Large terrace upstairs, ideal for relaxing with a drink and/or a BBQ whilst taking in the outstanding views of Artena below and the mountains beyond.
