Our charming Austin cabin is likely the best value on Airbnb in the Austin area. The property is in a country setting only 15 minutes from downtown Austin. As a guest, you have access to the full cabin and three acres of beautiful grounds. You will be able to enjoy native wildlife roaming in their natural habitat. This log home is adjacent to a charming boutique wine vineyard whose owners frequently rent our cabin for their special occasions. The two-story cabin accommodates up to 14 guests. The open floor plan on the ground floor includes a chef’s kitchen with an island containing a sink and food preparation area. The adjoining dining room and living room showcase a massive two-story gas fireplace made of native stone, which separates the living and dining areas. There are two bedrooms with a total of six beds on the ground floor, as well as two full bathrooms. The master bedroom contains two queen beds, a large walk-in closet, and a large bath with twin vanities as well as a separate room housing the shower and toilet. The second downstairs bedroom has two bunk beds. The 4 beds in this room include one full-sized bed and three twins. A vanity with sink is located in this bedroom, in addition to a full common bathroom located just outside the bedroom. The upper story holds two bedrooms and one full bath. The upstairs master contains two beds (queen and twin). The second upstairs bedroom is an open plan (3 walls) containing two queen beds. The cabin has wood floors. For very well-behaved dogs, we are dog-friendly. Should you choose not to go into town, there’s plenty to do both in and around the cabin. You may wish to enjoy our outdoor lounge areas, including a gas barbecue pit and some really cool earth-keeper rocks. Horseshoes, bean-bag toss, washers, darts, a giant checker board, board games and other activities are available for your enjoyment. The cabin has a large, covered wrap-around porch that is fabulous any season of the year. Guests can relax in the hammock underneath a massive live oak tree believed to be hundreds of years old. Inside the cabin, a flat-screen television with Direct TV satellite and stereo surround-sound is available for your viewing pleasure. The quoted rates are for a maximum of 8 guests and 4 cars. An additional fee applies for additional guests, up to a maximum occupancy of 14 (including day visitors). If you intend to host a party or other function, you will need to disclose this to us in advance and obtain written approval, including agreement to all additional fees and terms. We normally can provide mid-stay refresh housekeeping and a variety of catering/food delivery options for a nominal fee. Our cabin’s washer/dryer in the utility room is available for your use. Please inquire do not hesitate to contact us if you have specific questions or concerns. You will have exclusive and complete access to three acres and the cabin. The only area not available to you is the detached garage, as it contains stored items. Oak trees near the cabin provide plenty of shade for parking during summer months. We live in downtown Austin much of the time and know the city pretty well. We are happy to assist you with recommendations should you desire any. If you need assistance with the Cabin during your stay we also have a grounds keeper that lives a couple of blocks from the Cabin and he can normally assist you in a matter of minutes if necessary. We are located next to a small wine vineyard. Although the City limits is only 2 minutes away the natural habitat and live oak trees provide lots of privacy and abundant wildlife. *There is a train track near the cabin. Please take care to stop and look both ways at the track. Occasionally a train will blow its horn. *The cabin is on 3 acres. The wine vineyard near the cabin is separate and is not available for use as a part of this rental agreement. Rental agreement We will email you our Terms and Conditions for you to electronically review. As soon as we receive your signed contract acknowledging agreement with these Terms and Conditions, your reservation can be confirmed. (I wasn’t sure if this is what you want to say) We will email all specific directions, access codes, etc. upon confirming your reservation. Names of all guests are required in advance of check-in. The quoted rate(s) are for up to 8 guests. There are a total of 10 beds, with a maximum occupancy of 14 guests. For each additional guest beyond 8, an extra charge of $25 will apply. If you are interested in having no-registered guests on property for an event, social, party, etc. there are additional associated terms and fees. Please contact us to discuss your plans and ideas; we are happy to try to accommodate your needs. *Taxes: The county requires us to collect a 6% occupancy tax; however, this is less than half the taxes you would pay only 1 block inside the city limits. Pets We love dogs. A maximum of two well-behaved dogs may be present on the property during your stay. The pet fee is $0 unless we clean up after your pet. Guests are fully responsible for any damages and extra cleaning. Please pick up the grounds behind your pet and do not allow them to run loose without supervision. Occasionally deer may wander into the surrounding area; please do not allow pets to chase or harass the wildlife.
