This spacious Grade II listed 3 bed house with a garden is a 30 minute walk from Bath city centre in the Upper Weston region of Bath. There are shops, cafe's, take aways and pubs all within a couple of minutes walk as well as glorious countryside on the doorstep. It has easy access to the M4 giving it great links to the city centre as well as further afield. The property would be perfect for families and groups looking for a relaxing stay in the Bath area. We accept well behaved dogs. This is a lovely, bright and airy property with classic decor and furnishings. With 3 bedrooms, sleeping up to 6, it is the perfect base to explore the area. The house also boasts a private, well kept garden to enjoy during your stay. There are three bedrooms, one with a super king sized bed and a walk in wardrobe, one with a double bed and the last has a trundle bed which pulls out to make 2 single beds. There is also a travel cot at the house which can be used for a baby. The bathroom is bright and clean with a shower-over-bath, fitted sink, mirror and toilet. There is an additional downstairs toilet. I provide the essentials - soap, shampoo and conditioner - so that is one less thing for you to worry about! There is a fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher. There is a laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and clothes dryer. The house will be professionally cleaned in preparation for your stay and high quality 100% cotton bed linen and towels will be provided. Wifi is available throughout the property and there is a TV with FreeView. Guests have access to the entire property during their stay. We will be available on the phone if there are any problems. The house is in Upper Weston Village on the outskirts of Bath city centre. There are shops, cafe's, take aways and pubs all within a couple of minutes walk from the house as well as glorious countryside on the doorstep. There are wonderful walks (especially good if you are bringing your dog) from the doorstep with only a short walk through the streets before you get to open country side. We are right on the edge of the Cotswold Way, below are some of the many walks you could take from the house. 1- Kelston Roundhill- you can also walk on from there to the Crown at Kelston- this is a lovely village pub with very good food. 2- Lansdown and Beckfords Tower- You could stop at the Hare and Hounds pub which again is a lovely pub with great views. 3- Sections of the Bath Skyline walk. The City of Bath and the beautiful surrounding countryside has been described as one of England’s most beautiful places to visit. Bath is situated within the south west of England 2 hours West of London and is a fabulous city to visit. There are many historical wonders to explore during your stay in Bath, including the Roman Baths, the Royal Crescent, Pultney Bridge and the Bath Abby to name but a few! The Thermae Bath Spa, Britain' s only natural thermal spa, located in Bath city centre offers traditional and state-of-the-art spa facilities for those who like a little pampering. Stonehenge: it is about 40 minutes drive to this ancient monument Wells: the Cathedral, Bishop's Palace and very interesting shops and restaurants The Mendips, Cheddar Gorge, Somerset levels, Wookey Hole Longleat house and safari park Glastonbury - a taste of the alternative National trust properties: Stourhead, Dyrham Park, Lacock, Prior Park Gardens and Avebury and so many more. The property is located with easy access to the M4 and the major roads around Bath. Driving into the city is 5 minutes, alternatively, if you prefer public transport, the number 4 or 20A buses leave from outside the house and take you into the city centre. There is free on street parking in the streets around the house. The closest train station is Bath Spa, this is accessible by the 4 or 20A or a short taxi journey. The closest airport is Bristol airport but it is also only 1.5 to 2hrs from Heathrow airport via the M4.
