A quiet location, surrounded with well-established plants and trees, and a working farm behind, this is a place where you can relax, soak in the tranquillity, listen to the bird life, read a book or even paint while revelling in the ever-changing vista of the harbour below. If you are looking for a little more activity take advantage of the outdoors with harbour, beach and local walks close by. To have commanding views of Ohiwa Harbour does come with a cost and that is the narrow and steep driveway. It pays to turn around at the top of the cul de sac to enter 19 Vedder Road. The local water system means the water pressure is a little on the low side. However, you can relax in the bath. You can walk, kayak, fish, mountain bike and swim, all within close proximity. In season, there is an abundance of citrus fruit and grapes that you are also welcome to enjoy. There is a swimming beach in front of the Ohiwa Beach Camp 3 minutes drive away. Whether winter or summer this is a wonderful place to retreat to, spend a weekend or longer and enjoy all that this little piece of paradise offers.
